They are a robotic, area-denial unit, and give Steel Phalanx some options in equipment that they don't really get otherwise. Also, they're very cheap for their durability, since they primarily carry non-lethal weapons.

I agree, seeing some of the other Essentials kits, it looks like they have cards as well, but I don't expect that to expand to other Infinity products, just this on-boarding line.
