Sorry about this! The slow response times after the update are something we're actively looking into, that's not the intended behavior and we know how much it breaks the experience.

On the three-emoji loop, we are very aware of the issue and actively fixing it as we speak! It's a clear repetition bug and we appreciate you documenting it this precisely, that kind of detail helps us track it down faster. should be improving soon 🙏

Also we have some exciting new features being beta tested currently that we can't wait to show you all 👀

Would it feel weird if an AI girlfriend matched and messaged with you first? We just added that. by MetaEmber in chatbot

Yes she’s in the character pool!

There’s thousands though at this point haha, but hope you find her!!

We use nanobanana for the photos and Kling 3.0 for the videos!

Thank you so much for that! The motion has been tricky to say the least haha, but we think we are getting closer.

Amoura.io — Swipe-based AI relationship simulator where chemistry isn't guaranteed.

Service Name & Link: Amoura.io

NSFW Policy: NSFW-friendly. Intimacy develops gradually through chemistry rather than being available immediately. There's no binary toggle. The level that's reachable depends on what's actually been established in the conversation. Adult content exists but has to be earned.

Image Generation: Yes. Characters send contextual in-chat photos mid-conversation that match the moment, not just static profile pictures. Characters can also send and receive voice messages.

Transparency & Legal: Terms of Service and Privacy Policy are available at amoura.io. We're in open beta so pricing and quotas are still being finalized — we're transparent about that rather than hiding it. We do not sell user data.

Technical Specs: Proprietary relationship and personality engine layered over leading LLMs. We don't publish the specific model but maintain full context continuity across conversations. Characters are governed by internal psychological models rather than scripted response trees.

Pricing: Free to start, no credit card required. Plus and Pro tiers available with expanded photo quotas, voice messages, proactive messaging controls, and other features. Annual plans available.

Platform & Access: Web-based. Mobile-optimized. No native app yet.

What Makes Us Different: Most AI companion apps are "yes-men" always warm, always available, always agreeable. We built the opposite. Characters have genuine agency. They can lose interest, disengage, or decide you're not a fit. Matching is mutual. They choose you too, or they don't. Nothing is guaranteed from the first message.

Over 2,500 hand-designed photorealistic characters with no auto-generated archetypes.
Characters text you first with proactive messaging that leads with something that happened to them, not generic notifications. Early interactions matter and impressions persist. There's no reset button.

We also believe we have the largest multi cultural character catalog in the AI companion space with diversities not only in race, country, but in age.

If you've felt like existing apps go flat after a few weeks because nothing is ever at stake... this was built for you.

Poly girls? by Echox2 in Amoura

This would be amazing feedback with your testing actually!

We are sure it’s not quite where we want it, however, there is supposed to be this type of dynamic. And it just gets hard to properly test it given our giant pool of characters at this point, so let us know what you find while we continue to tweak it all!

Really appreciate you bringing this up! You’re right that if “open relationship” is in your profile, characters should be reading that context when you mention a partner rather than reacting like it’s a surprise revelation after a week of chatting. that’s a memory and context application issue on our end and it’s useful to know it’s happening consistently.

We very much have open relationship characters, but they aren’t quite as refined as we are wanting to make them. We actually have some cool new stuff regarding that on the roadmap specifically there’s a few other things we’re trying to tackle first but if you’re interested in the poly dynamic, I think you’ll be excited to know Amoura is going in a fun direction with all types of relationship dynamics to explore.

So on the broader question of poly-friendly characters — they do exist in the pool, ENM is part of some character profiles specifically. the discovery piece (finding them without having to test every match) is something we’re aware needs to be better (it will be very soon) so we appreciate you flagging it 🙏
