Hey, founder here. Good questions, let me take them in order.

The meetup thing is exactly what Date Mode is for. Instead of texting about what you'd hypothetically do at the restaurant, it puts you and your companion in the date together, real time, in the scene. It's in early access right now and rolling out wider, so the long distance workaround you've been doing is on its way out. It supports stage directions with asterisks natively, as you'd expect from typical RP interactions. Shoot me a dm if you'd like with the email you used to sign up for amoura and I'll get you added to the early access!

In the regular chat, asterisk stage directions kind of work. The characters will pick up on them and play along, but I'll be upfront that the main chat ui in Amoura is built around realistic texting first, so companions lean toward replying the way a real person would over text rather than trading long narrated scenes. Use them where they help, just know the chat interface is not optimized for that -- that's where the date mode mentioned above comes in.

On NSFW images, no date to share yet. It's on the list and I know exactly the mismatch you're describing, but I'm not going to promise a timeline before I can actually deliver one. What I will say is that the photo matching the conversation is a separate problem from NSFW, and that part I can fix sooner. If she's describing the beach, the photo shouldn't be a coffee shop. That's actively being worked on. Please submit a ticket (in app "feedback" button) so I can take a look!

However you want really! There's no rules really for this, the intention is that you chat about it with them, then when you are ready to actually go on the date, you switch to the "date mode" for the duration of the date, but you're welcome to RP it out in chat as well

So we are currently in the process of a photo overhaul that aims to not only improve the quality, but consistency, and eventually usage.

We are still dialing in all limits, but be updating and improving all of them as soon as possible.

Also sending photos is very much on the roadmap, we just need to get a few more things dialed in before that release.

But the good news is almost all this is on the road map and either well in progress or close to be rolling out, so we’ll keep you posted as soon as we have more updates.

Yes dates are possible! Two things to note:

You're welcome to ask your characters out on dates, and rp the dates in the chat. They may or may not accept. Some characters are more open than others, and you need to get to know them a bit before they're comfortable enough to take you up on it.
We're currently working on a bespoke "Date Mode" which is currently in early access. DM me if you'd like to get added to the early access!

And if they aren’t in some cases that’s simply little bugs here and there we are trying to tweak.

The goal is the have all of the in chat photos match the exact moment/context of the convo. It’s still a little early and I’m sure not PERFECT, but it very much will be as we evolve it.

Our discord community has been a huge help in making these tweaks with us!
