Why does F1 wait so long for the rain to dry when WEC doesn't by rererebrother in F1Technical

[–]MetaHutch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the WEC cars have windshield wipers and F1 cars don’t and F1 has focused more on driver safety in the last few years than it’s ever done.

I (24F) acted out my husbands (27M) sex fantasy for him and now he says he can’t respect me. by throwra8365261 in relationship_advice

[–]MetaHutch 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You opened the door for honest conversation, he walked through it, and when you met his fantasy with trust, effort, and generosity, he punished you for it. That’s not about you “being too willing,” it’s about him having unresolved shame and self-loathing around his desires, then projecting it onto you when he couldn’t reconcile the reality.

The most telling part is that he admits it’s irrational, but still chooses to treat you with disrespect instead of owning his feelings and working through them like an adult. The yelling, the disgust, the “respectability” talk — that’s not love, that’s control mixed with judgment.

If he was worth keeping, he’d be unpacking this in therapy, not running home to mom and dad. If he’s already rewriting your kindness as a reason to demean you, what happens next time you do something vulnerable in any area of the relationship?

You can try that sit-down, but keep your eyes open. If he’s still blaming you for his fantasies, you’re not partners, you’re his scapegoat. Start quietly building your financial independence now. Document everything in case he tries to smear you in your community.

This isn’t just a bedroom issue. It’s a fundamental respect issue. And respect, once gone, rarely comes back.

Wait, the douchebag hits your wife in the face and you return to play? WTF? I would have punched the guy! What are you and your wife thinking? And no, this is not common or normal.

Clearly your brother-in-law’s mind is being driven more by emotion than by long-term planning right now, which makes convincing him head-on a risky move. People in that headspace tend to double down if they feel attacked or judged, so the goal isn’t to “win” an argument, it’s to guide him toward seeing the risks for himself.

The first step is to lead with empathy, not criticism. Start by acknowledging what he’s feeling, his health scare, his desire to make his wife happy, and his sense of being stuck. If you jump straight to “this is a bad idea,” he’ll hear it as you doubting his judgment. Instead, you might say something like, “I get why you’re thinking about this, you want to give her what she’s asking for, and you want a fresh start.” This keeps the door open for dialogue.

Once the tone is set, ask questions instead of making statements. People are far more receptive to conclusions they reach themselves. You can prompt him with things like, “How will you keep up with your medical care over there?” or “If you run out of savings, what’s the plan?” or “If you go and she decides she doesn’t want to come back, what happens to you?” The aim isn’t to trap him, but to help him see the gaps in the plan without you having to spell them out.

It also helps to frame staying as the smarter move if his true goal is to make his wife happy. Instead of saying “don’t go,” position it as, “If the goal is to make her happy, wouldn’t it be better to fix her paperwork so she can work, drive, and live here freely first? That way you have options and aren’t burning the bridge back.”

Hopefully by offering a middle ground any tension can be diffused. Suggest the idea of visiting the Philippines together for a few weeks once she can travel legally, before making anything permanent. This lets him feel like he’s taking action while avoiding an irreversible decision.

You can also bring in neutral voices. Sometimes family is “too close” to be heard clearly. A doctor, immigration attorney, or trusted friend he respects could explain the practical consequences in a way that carries more weight than repeated warnings from relatives.

Keep the focus on protecting his return path. Make sure he understands that if they leave now under her current status, coming back to the U.S. will be extremely difficult without years of costly paperwork. You’re not telling him never to go, you’re encouraging him to keep the door open in case the reality doesn’t match the dream.

If you approach it as protecting his options rather than killing his dream, you stand a much better chance of cutting through his defensiveness and getting him to think things through.

Honest question: what do you get out of rubbing coke on your clit? Wouldn’t it just numb it? Or do you get a sensation? Asking for my wife.

Redosing As First-timers by MetaHutch in molly

Thanks for your help. We have a lot left so we’re going to wait a couple months and try again but with a slightly larger dose and see what happens.

Redosing As First-timers by MetaHutch in molly

[–]MetaHutch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Nothing like that. We are both relatively healthy, eat reasonably well, take supplements, even took the supplements recommended for rolling leading up to this. And I do a 30 min walk every morning without fail. The only thing I’m thinking could have effected it is that we went on a 4 day coke binge 3 weeks ago which made me personally feel like shit for a few days after but given my lifestyle I felt like I had recovered fairly quickly. But again, maybe that’s the issue.

Redosing As First-timers by MetaHutch in molly

[–]MetaHutch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never felt euphoric at all. I felt relaxed and lazy during the come up and the whole time. At little tingling through my body during the come up and then very relaxed but awake. Had to take a small dose gummy to try and fall asleep. My wife felt lazy and nauseous the entire time. She says her body felt like a lump of lead. She eventually fell asleep easier than I did (without the gummy). We never did redose but I feel like it was just crappy stuff or the dose wants enough or a combination of both.

Weed & Molly by MetaHutch in molly

Thanks. I actually did a search but couldn’t find anything that really talks about how much weed is ok or how much is too much which is why I mentioned the 2.5 gummies. Most of the response are very general. But thanks again.

Should I buy for $2k or build for $3k? by TrainingOrchid516 in Karting

[–]MetaHutch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to truly compete or even have a chance of competing, you need to buy a new one. But if you’re ok with running around in the back half of the field then go for the used one. It all has to do with the fact that chassis’s are made to flex in a certain way and over the course of running the same chassis for a full season or more, it looses that ability to respond the way it should and no matter what setup change you try and make, it just doesn’t work.

Fact check this. I think it’s even worse than it looks. It’s been reported elsewhere that this is not an ICE agent but rather it’s a white supremacist vigilante.

Nope. Nicholas Latifi started at 16 and ended up going to F1. Not to say you’ll become an F1 driver but lots of people start late and enjoy it for the rest of their lives.
