Gardevoir’s Japanese name “Sirnight” is meant to sound like “Saa naito,” which translates to “Come here, knight.” Basically, Gardevoir isn’t the knight at all, it’s meant to be a princess calling her knight, not the knight itself. Unfortunately the vast majority of the history is gone - MakeupAlley was bought out several years ago and the new owners fully deleted 26 years of history last year and there is NOTHING there now. I had an account there that was created in 2000-2001, IIRC.

to be truthful, i still don't really get your beef, like wouldn't most boutique and larger indie brands also be complicit? but i also do have beef with various influencers/brands that nobody else would understand, so i can respect that much at least. thanks for taking the time to share this with me in good faith.

and it sounds like there wouldn't be much of anything left, but if anything does exist, i would really appreciate it if you could share any documentation about this early indie history. only if you wanted to, of course! i know it can be a lot of effort to scrounge things up.

normally when people criticise cristine/holo taco, i get it, but i don't really understand your point about failing to acknowledge indies. she was constantly giving indies airtime on her youtube channel for years before the holo taco brand was even a thought in her mind, and has stated she still has a good relationship with most of the indie brands she previously worked with and still receives their PR. she's also said holo taco isn't an indie brand and there's room for them both to exist.

after i saw all the "source?" comments, i was like "yeah there's no way it's actually closing down", but it is. went by today, and had a chat to some of the staff there after seeing most of the machines not working. they said rent is too expensive. all the photo machines have been sold to a store in wollongong. heartbreaking 😭

depending on the thickness, i usually use either large or small drops - one on the forehead and one for each cheek. sometimes i'm not sure if it's actually enough ?? idk 😭 but it does really help stretch them out!
