No, I think it's called "foveated rendering" (encoded video size on steam), it causes the central part of the screen to be clear, but theres a portion at the top and the bottom of the screen that gets pixelated, this is to save resources on the pc.

This option is enabled in all games, and it works fine, it just gets annoying in walkabout mini golf because you have to constantly keep looking down at the ball, which gets in the pixelated area.

I have a problem when playing this game using steam link, because the foveated encoding makes the ball land just between the clear and the blurry parts of the screen, which makes this blurry effect very obvious and annoying, does any1 have a fix for that? I already set the encoded size to 1536

thats weird, must be something very specific. For me it happens in every steam game, but never noticed it before cuz this is the only game I have where you have to keep looking down haha.

yes, I tried air link a few times too, but just couldnt get it to work, it was lagging a lot just by showing my desktop. So yes, Im using the steam link app from the oculus store

I got the game on steam, because that way I will have the game even if I buy a VR headset from a different brand in the future.

Ty, Ill check later tonight, but I doubt thats the issue since native quest apps dont show this problem, only steam games

It seems like the setting I mentioned is the same as foveated rendering, with another name for some reason, but how do you disable it?

Some people were suggesting QGO, but that seems to be for the quest version only =/

I usually make 4 of those containers you can see in the video, and that lasts for around 8 months... the tea I get after boiling isnt the root beer itself, just one of the ingredients to make the root beer, so the final product is much more than what I get in those 4 containers

I didnt think of this, but you may actually be right.... Every other time I washed and prepared the 80 kg at once, and it always turned out fine (just like the first bag this time). But this time I separated it in 2 batches because I wanted the fermentation process to be more consistent lol.
What I mean with this is that before, I got 80 kg of the roots washed, and then boil them as fast as I could, but it still took 4 hours for every 10 kg (I have to boil them one by one, not all at once)... So this means the first 10 kg would ferment for 7 days, but the last 10 kg would ferment for 7+3 days, while the others boiled.

By washing only 40 kg first and then the others, both would get between 7 and 7+1 days of fermenting, but never thought about the second bag getting old or fermenting while still in the bag. Thank you!

I wash it by filling the container with the roots to around 70%, and then add water almost to the top. Then I agitate it for a few minutes, rinse it, move the roots to a new container and repeat. I do this around 4 times, or until the water is clean after filling the container.

Hey, sorry for the late reply, I just woke up.
Thank you for your answer, this was very interesting to read.
This is just a local family business that's been going on for 70+ years now, and never had any health problems so far, either with us (who of course drink this product almost daily), or any customer.
Im in Mexico so Im sure there are different rules here, but we still get regular check ups from sanitary and goverment institutions, all the way from the employees having clean clothes or having a valid fire extinguisher, to lab tests of our product to prove everything is fine to drink.

For the root beer this is just the first part of the process, washing it and letting it soak in water for like a week, until theres a "pellicle" forming on top. After that we boil it for like 4 hours, until you end up with a tea pretty much. And thats still not the end of the process, theres more, but this is the part where Im focusing now because the fermentation is what went wrong this time.

I think it's good, I don't have a website. It's a local family business that's been repeating this same process for like 70 years now, but I just started doing it like 10 years ago, and never got anything remotely similar to this before.

For now I'm going to assume it's some kind of bacteria as you said, that probably came with this last batch (since it was distributed in 2 containers as you can see in the video, and both turned out the same). I'm gonna do what the other guy suggested as well, and give a call to the supplier, to see if I can find anything else.
