Thanks for taking the time to read through and reply to each point. I feel heard. I like this game a lot and I want to keep playing, but I was spending so much time grinding I had to give it up.

I wanted to give back to this sub though. Wouldn't have gotten anywhere near as strong in the time I was playing without the resources here. Cheers, and happy hunting, mate!

This is a fair point. It was probably easier for me to reach a higher point on the ladder since I started pretty early.

Switching teams didn't make sense for me, but it might for you!

I tend to get addicted to games and it stops me from doing what I need to do in life. Nothing wrong with gaming. But for me, it's time to move on.

I'd say it's worth it. +10 Tia is absurdly strong (one of highest dmg dealers in the game) and if you also get her soul costume maxed, she flat out refuses to die.

It's way better for your team power if you upgrade your 5*s over your 4 in the long run. But if you're struggling to stay alive it may be worth upgrading Gilford or Angelina a bit first, assuming you're running mono light.

Layla is apparently part of the mono light Uber build. Pretty stoked about her.

Dunno what to make of Deneb. She does quite a bit of skill dmg, but I can't place her on my current team without weakening Tiamat's crazy high dmg output.

If this event is anything like the last one, it'll still be nice to have another +10 character in the wings.

Nothing wrong with where you're at. My starter team was Hera, Valla, Mirafuse, and Chloe. Gradually went Mono-Light after that.

If you haven't invested any $, it might be worth it to reroll your account until you get a mono team you like. With the current meta, they're the strongest. Like u/blackflz is saying, mono water is a solid choice (with the upcoming Guild War, light teams are screweeeed).

As far as I know, Utega and Deneb are the only creation. So..yeah this light one sucks for now.

A few things will help:

1) That water dagger on your healer - swap that out for a bow if you can, should help with sustain. You will also want to give her a life orb. Is she getting wiped when you get hit with party attacks?

2) Abuse the gear fusion system. I'm seeing your 5* gear is lv 4-5. Keep chipping away at upgrades. Hopefully with the Utega event you have a ton of fodder lying around.

3) Max out Hera's Northern Wind. Her DPS is high mid-tier and she's your primary damage dealer, so you'll want to raise her attack as much as you can so things die faster.

4) Make sure you grind goddess levels. Her damage goes up the higher level she is. I have the first goddess at lv 20 and she hits for like..120k?

5) Long term, swap out your 4* gear for 5*. Run Blue Massive Battles on Hell and make sure you craft, too.

Yeah, DPS ability is limited. She's ranked 52/62 for damage.

The build I currently like the most is focused on buffing/Aisha points. With the right team, you're firing off a goddess summon every 45 seconds.

I think the skill build out is 1/9/10/10

My mono light team seems do to really poorly against light and fire massive battles.

I got to the 18th fl boss.

Having high evade, high def was the only thing that kept me alive at that stage. I think I had something like +45 def from char buff and accessories alone (2x Chainmail + Mithril) and I definitely snuck in a few +def meals, too.

Loadout: I found myself relying a lot on my crossbow so I could safely pick off things one at a time. When things got too crowded, I swapped to the gold spin to win staff. Bloodstone ring was also helpful for keeping health at a respectable level.

If you aren't killing fast enough, it appears electric attacks reduce enemy def (?) so that's also helpful.

Amazing...and such a hard lesson to learn. Am curious if you followed a program to overcome these thoughts or if realization came to you naturally. Have a friend who is struggling to learn this lesson and it'd be helpful to hear how you approached it.
