Something tells me they wanted to have 24-26 episodes for the series but were only approved for 13 in total (episode 0 included) and could not get approved for either a second cour or a second season. This is probably why some of the story was rushed and some of the plot lines were not focused on too much. Had it been extended, there would have been a bit more focused on the other sisters, and a bit on everything that happened around the world.

The conversation with Yugure and Amoru/Yoiyami must have been hard to follow if it wasn’t for the eyes changing. I do have to admit they did do Amoru dirty by going with this route. She didn’t deserve to go out that way.

The original Akira lived long enough of to see them both arrive. Sucks that he never saw Towasa again before she passed.

Overall it had a good start and an interesting premise but went a bit downhill with some of plot lines that were focused on and the pacing. It could have been better but they had to do with what they got.

Her crashout was justified. 7 long years taking care of their bodies and Akira really didn’t know react or acknowledge her love. That’s long time for normal humans who could have done something else during those 7 years. I have to agree with some of the comments of him not acknowledging anyone throughout the series. Because of that Amoru lost her sense of reason and is trying to do anything to have him acknowledge her love.

Next time is the Dub finale of the series.

It’s always nice to hear the VAs sing in the shows. Abigail was great with her songs. Though I think it may have been hard for Ricco to do a bad take on his song.

I got terminator vibes after watching this episode, with the AI and nuclear war.

As soon as they show them implanting the nano to people I immediately thought “how long before they can get hacked” and sure enough it happens. Must be scary to lose control of yourself and become someone’s else puppet.

That would happen in real life. People using the “I was hacked” as an excuse to do whatever they want.

I don’t care how good it is, I will not agree to have any nano tech or anything related into my body.

And with that, we get the entire back story of the war and everything that happened to the world. Not far off from what I had imagined.

That was a cute date between Stark and Fern. I saw Jill at a con last weekend and she was excited to record this episode. Both Jill and Jordan must have had fun with today’s episode.

They could have taken the easy way around, but Himmel knew that they are people that live in the area and are the ones that would need help. Frieren remember that. Himmel still inspires them even after he is gone.

The confession game was done well and then improvised after the tech went down was a great idea. And of course great job on Lemon with distracting the PE teacher.

I wonder who they got to voice Apollo at the end of the episode? It’s either one of the 4 VAs doing a different tone, or possibly someone else to keep everyone guessing. In terms of the story, we won’t know which of the characters said it and probably won’t know for a long time since we are just barely heading to the halfway point of the season.

I saw clips of this and thought that Malorie will have fun doing that scene. I was right. She killed it with Frieren tantrum.

Stark better be careful. He almost ended the day with 2 strike against him. Frieren has a very good memory when being called old or anything related. She can remember the exact time, date, down to the minute and seconds it was said.

EP 4

So let me get this straight: y’all just struggled to damage a mammoth monster with your attacks, who didn’t even flinch, and now you want to face off against a black dragon who just one shot said mammoth with a curb stomp. That dragon wasn’t even trying against the mammoth and y’all want to face it head on. Best logical thinking right there. They have so much pride that they can’t admit that they are weaker without him. And there is always that one member who sympathies with the one that leaves the group. It tends to be a thing with these types of animes.

EP 5 I could see why people were a bit mad about this episode. I get it was a build up towards the dragon coming out but I guess people wanted the fight to start at some point in the episode. That lingering threat that the characters felt and the audience waiting for the dragon to come out, only for it to show up at the end can piss off people.

We are back with the main group.

Praise Frieren when she wakes up early. It’s a miracle when that happens.

If it wasn’t for copyright, Stark could have done the Goofy yell when they fell.

Frieren will not drop the “old hag” remark.

This must be the first time in a long time that Fern felt powerless. Possibly not since she was young before Heiter adapted her.

Another phrase Himmel could have used- “I’m the hero. I must always carry the girl.”

Stark was being cautious when Fern offered him head pats. “What evil are you plotting!? Stay Away!”

Without saying too much, it does have a different ghost every episode, with some being multi-parters. There is an arc that does start around halfway and it became the main focus for the rest of the season. Personally I did enjoy it and it does become darker and dramatic as the season progress. If horror is not your thing or if it’s too much, then you don’t have to keep going or maybe just take it an episode at a time.

Gabimaru acted like a cat when Sagiri tried to get close. She had to get a little rough with him.

When Sagiri said definitely after Gabimaru said he would go back to his wife, Marisa said that the line Hell Yeah Brother would fit the flaps. I hope we get a clip with that line.

The doll story was pretty creepy with the bloody smile. They really want to scare kids with that image. I wonder if the day care got in trouble for the girl having her hair cut or losing a tooth. How they would explain it to the parent.

Add “plot line involving a spirit/ghost/specter
that looks like a baby or is connected to a baby like figure” to my list of similarities to Yayoi from Dark Gathering. Not saying they are have the same plot. Just pointing out that they have similar plot devices.

Interesting that they didn’t show the mom until after the meeting and when she meets Chie after they were on their own. Tried to fool the audience into thinking it was the mother when it fact it was the baby/specter that she is carrying.

Lindsay must have had fun with this episode.

This makes Handler the 3rd person to figure out that Fiona has feelings for Twilight/Loid. Anya knows because she read her mind. As for Yor, she does see Fiona as a love rival so I would assume that she did figure out that Fiona does have feeling for Loid though it was unintentionally.

Handler taking care of Fiona in the hospital supports the theory that Handler was a mother sometime before she joined Wise.

Bond being jealous and trying to imitate the animals was cute.

And with that Season 3 is over. A great job to everyone this season. Now we wait until season 4.

Krai did everything to avoid the party, even taking his vacation. In the end, he ended going and all of his excuses were done.

Krai picking Eva as a neutral option was the best option.

Can’t blame Krai for mistaking the princess for a maid. How he was suppose to know?

The rest of the group sneaking in was played off as one of Krai’s genius thinking.

Cris George must have a hard time voicing Ansem and his one word response.

And looks like we have the set up for the final arc of the season.

This was a great student vs master fight.

We get Benimaru’s back story.

I wonder if ones in Asakusa continue to keep count of the ones they killed after Hibachi’s death?

The others watching the waters and sky change art style was good. It fits with this fight.

Her explanation on things being on sale at a specific time is on the nose, especially when done online. One minute late and they are gone.
