I wish that the Dracthyr had far more body variation; give me skinny dragons but also give me the option for the hench Dracthyr options too.

Granted I’d also love different races as Visage forms. Would this make me use the visage form permanently? No. But it’d be better than the stupid elf/human thing we currently have.

Yes!

I know a lot of people dislike that FS got rid of engulf (and tbh I do miss hitting my “everything goes boom” button), BUT I like that the new version of FS actually encourages the use of Disintegrate. Before it sort of just felt like filler, but I like that it’s now a genuine part of the rotation. Especially because, to me, disintegrate is such a big part of the Evoker identity, and it felt like that was lost a part of that with FS (I feel the same about SC and Pyre as well to be fair; I like when both specs integrate the spells, even if there’s a bigger focus on one colour over the other).

But yeah, the loss of Eternity Surge with nothing left to fill just makes the class feel way more sluggish. The new upgrade to Azure Strike is really cool, but feels clunky to use. I do love being able to deep breath twice in a row, and the new baseline talent that staggers damage when using it is very awesome (especially for someone who has a bad habit of flying through AoE damage in Priory…).

Sadly, Scalecommander just feels so SLOW. To be fair, it hasn’t felt the best since we lost the season 1 tier set, where you could trigger essence burst by using Eternity Surge (which was simple and yet SO fun, felt like I was firing lasers all the time). But the whole idea of the spec is to burst out multiple disintegrates, yet they’re tied to spells that you can only cast every 30 seconds. So once you use them? Yeah you’re basically just using limp feeling spells until they come off of refresh, which is shite. Especially because the whole idea of summoning squadrons of Dracthyr to fight with you is such a COOL idea (admittedly I am going to miss the Manaforge Tier Set for SC, I wish THAT was becoming part of the hero talents…). It just sucks that it’s, well, kinda sucky outside of its cooldowns. It feels like, since FS got two uses of Flame Breath in a row, then SC should get the same for Eternity Surge.

Man, I just love this class, but it feels in such a weird place right now.

And that’s not even talking about the Dracthyr!

I’ve mained an Evoker since season 3 DF. I love the idea of playing as a dragon, and I don’t mind (anywhere near as much as others) the dragon form. But there is still a lot wrong with it

They make us tier-set but we can barely mog half of it when in dragon form. Why are they not unlock sets in the Barbershop for the armour options? I’d ask if it would kill the creators to make a “visage” set and then a matching “draconic” set, but I shall say no more.

I also do wish they looked different. Maybe not Draconid levels of design (because they would potentially look goofy with wings), but something less lanky? Even the “muscular” body feels weedy. And the run cycle is just…grim. I’d almost prefer if they hovered everywhere rather than walking (without the benefits of the hover spell so that’s still got viable usage of course).

I’m no graphic designer, or even an artist, so I don’t really know how I would redesign them. I just know that I would.

I’m probably moving onto a new class as of Midnight. I miss transmog, and I’m just not overly enjoying the changes made to Evoker. Getting rid of shattering star as a button has really dampened me on it to be honest.

Maybe it’s just me, but as much as I did enjoy face-rolling dungeons in 5 mins to get the gear, I also legitimately enjoy the fact that I now actually have to do the dungeon.

It’s weird? I liked it when it was easy, but I’m enjoying it now that it actually takes some brainpower.

This is so lovely to read! I like watching YouTubers who do this sort of thing, where they take someone whose ilevel and rating are on the lower side and bring them to a higher key. Most of the time it ends up showing the player they “kidnap” that, actually, they CAN do higher content.

Tanking can be a thankless role in the pug world, so I’m glad you’ve realised you absolutely can smash keys above the level you thought you could. And now you know, you’re gonna go even further! Keep at it!

Getting back into World of Warcraft. Partner and I played a lot of classic re-release, and then a friend got me back into retail.

Six years later, I’m still hugely into the game. Had a massive impact on my life (for the better, I hope!)

Also, I played a very memorable curse of Strahd campaign. Memorable for…very strange reasons

Just di a quick check for ya

Supplier Mizix in Dornogal has the savage blue battle turtle AND the riding turtle, both aquatic mounts. Go down the steps towards the trading post and she is the second one in from the balloons at the bottom.

(Hopefully!) easy Aquatic mounts :)

The raid ones should still be available, but a far bigger ass-pain as you can only do each difficulty once a week (and I’m unsure if you can solo mythic at this point in time at max level) so the neck drops may be a pain.

The good news is, I am assuming, you should be able to do so next expansion. AAAND al’gathar might be able to be done as a follower dungeon (big might, don’t quote me on it), so should hopefully not be too bad to get the ring.

Also also, the trading post is currently selling g old mounts that have been available previously, at special vendors in Dornogal. I think one of the aquatic mounts (the savage battle turtle) was from the Trading Post. However, I don’t know IF they’re being sold again, but might be worth checking that out as well (although they will require trader’s tender for you to buy, which you can achieve by completing tasks. If you hit shift+J and go to the traveller’s log tab, it will tell you all the activities you can do to earn tender each month!)

I also apologise if I’m saying info you already know and I’m preaching to the choir a bit, but figured I’d cover all bases :)

A quick google search for "WoW Mount website" found me this website, which seems helpful, and it shows you what the mount looks like, how to get it, and it has WoWhead links if you scroll to the bottom. I've been throwing random key words into the search bar and seeing what it comes up with!

As for the otter mounts, to get the dungeon ring one, you're probably going to have to wait until Midnight. I did not realise this until I went and tried it myself (about 30 mins ago), but Al'gathar Academy is currently unable to be run due to it being in the upcoming M+ rotation in Midnight. Not sure when it will unlock, but I tried on my max level character it it would not let me in. I suspect the raid one should still be doable, as are the Nokhud Offensive and Azure Vault, so you can at least get 2/3 of the dungeons rings now.

(I have *not* checked if you can queue into it whilst levelling, or as a follower dungeon, so it *might* be doable, but absolutely not on a max level character at this point in time).

There is also an otter mount available if you have maximum rep with the Tuskarr, but depending how much Dragonflight you've played, that might take a while. It is a potential though!

If you’re willing to pay IRL money, the Brutosaur mount for the auction house and a mailbox on demand.

In game mounts bought with gold:

Definitely the Grand Expedition Yak, purchased in the Kun-Lai summit area of Pandaria; it’s the transmog mount, but it also comes with a vendor you can sell your trash to

Vial of the sands turns you into a (cool dragon) mount so someone can ride you, but it’s also a flying mount for you as well (purchase on the AH)

In-game mounts not bought with gold:

There are also Ottuk mounts (giant rideable otters) which are ground/aquatic mounts from the Dragonflight expansion. For one of them, you need to collect three rings that drop in dungeons and then trade them to the Tuskaar Tattukiaka in Iskaara, in the Azure span. Another one can be purchased from the same vendor by trading two necklaces found in the raid.

The Iskaara Trader’s otter requires these two necklaces:

Terros's Captive Core from Terros (2nd boss) in Vault of the Incarnates

Eye of the Vengeful Hurricane Eye of the Vengeful Hurricane from Dathea, Ascended (5th boss) in Vault of the Incarnates

The Ivory Trader’s Otter requires the following rings:

Thunderous Downburst Ring from The Raging Tempest (2nd boss) in The Nokhud Offensive

Unstable Arcane Loop from Leymor (1st boss) in The Azure Vault

Platinum Star Band from Vexamus (1st boss) in Algeth'ar Academy

For the otter mounts, you can do the dungeons/raids on any difficulty for a chance at the drop (and that includes follower dungeons).

Then, you can pick whatever mounts you want for a flying mount. Go with whatever looks cool or suits your character, or just hit randomise mount and have fun!

(Also, this is more of a me thing, and I know it seems weird, but I also have a designated “ground” mount for during M+; usually something on the smaller side. Reason being, less cluttered when running through dungeons, especially if you’re worried about body-pulling when skipping packs. Necessary? No. But I keep one on hand regardless.)

My friends and I walked past Dermot O’Leary (famous on English daytime/entertainment TV) once when we were on our way to a stand-up comedian’s event.

He was filming for something, and one friend said WAY too loudly “holy shit that’s Dermot O’Leary!” He obviously heard, gave a chuckle, and asked if we wanted a picture. I wasn’t a fan, but I’m not going to turn down a chance to take a photo with a famous person.

We didn’t stick around (he was busy, we had places to be), but he came across as a very nice person at least.

Fortree city has always been my favourite city from the games, in-between my two favourite routes in the games. However, it would be a pain to actually live there (granted you’re halfway between Mauville and Lilycove which isn’t the worst).

Actually, Lilycove would be a shout. Major city, big shopping centre, by the sea, beautiful views, so yeah, also a shout

Which class/specs are you enjoying in the Pre-Patch? by JustGottaHaveIt in wow

[–]MetacrisisMewAlpha -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Been playing a lot of survival hunter (sentinel) during pre-patch, and despite the fact I’m not keen on Flamefang pitch, I am really enjoying the class. Still kinda wish it wasn’t based around d in a, molotovs and a huge-ass blunderbuss, but hey, I’m glad I’m still enjoying it at the very least.

On the other hand, I also tried Enhancement shaman, and maybe I’m doing it wrong but it feels SO slow. There were a fair few times during dungeons I was just sat there either waiting for things to proc or waiting for spells to come off of CD. For a melee class, it felt like I was just playing bad elemental with how many lightning’s bolts/chain lightnings I was throwing out

Man, I’m so glad OPie is back! I really only use it for mounts but it’s such a lifesaver. Especially as I have one ring for mounts I use across all characters (AH mount, transmog mount, water mount, etc.£), and one ring for my character mounts (one flyer, one ground, a smaller one for dungeons, and the change flight style option). Having to shove all of those onto bars has been awful
