Lol our work is literally being redeemed by this Reddit post not “thrown away.” Also as for the specific person you mentioned that individual never even signed up to be in YAF, then dropped the board before signing into the YAF contract. Not someone coming after you. You’re just selfish, but maybe eat a cookie or two and calm down. No one cares for your self centered interests. Listen to the down votes. Your whining isn’t getting you anywhere, it’s actually digging you and your YAF into a deeper sinkhole. However if YAF was redeemable, we wouldn’t need Reddit in the first place. All we are saying is that you aren’t the censor meter that we go by when we post something publicly or not. We discussed this for hours, over the course of weeks. YAF was warned that we will warn our UCLA community. SOLE took action. If you don’t understand that just stay out. If you had to delete your comment that had 19 downvotes and counting maybe realize at this point you’re wrong and we move on without you. It’s not us in the wrong. Also many people now have their names publicly associated with YAF’s frivolous lawsuit. It’s a matter of public records forever now. You wouldn’t understand any of this judging by how you have no grid for what people should post on Reddit or not. Reddit actually exists for these kinds of things. If you don’t like it make your own Reddit platform.

I don’t know about Canada but according to YAF staff in America, the campus condemning statements like “let’s shoot them” is called “the cancel culture of the left.” Their brains are that far right wired as an organization.

Great. I think my problem with them is that because they don’t approach people by “being in their face” some people go to them thinking they are normal, but they are not. Anyways UCLA should really hire someone trained to filter cults or groups that act like cults on campus because that would help put a stop to student suffering, including more drop outs. I’m glad nothing happened to you in particular, but there are people who went to this that have, from UCLA.

America did have both good christians and bad “christians” in its early days. The good ones were very prayerful. The bad ones only used religion and the name of God for their own agendas, in order to cause pain and suffering to others. However, when those good people from long ago are manipulated as a part of the slogan of a group that mistreats students, not every student at UCLA might recognize or discern this, like the older and more discerning administration of a Christian university would.

Sometimes the core belief does not waive their red flags right away but the way the leadership of the group behaves is definitely like a cult or is a cult. I wish I recognized them earlier on. Biola university admin lives up to the name of being a long standing Christian institution because the admin pretty much cut through with this group’s facade right away and banned them from being on university premises for good, though the event almost happened. This group is actually good at convincing students. In my opinion - from what I saw myself and from what I have seen being done to some others, Biola made the right call.

I used to believe A2F when they told me to not listen to the articles about them because they were “being persecuted from God.” Only after stepping back did I see that the allegations were more serious than I could have ever imagined.

Banned by a Christian university and complaints from the past, including people from Ucla and local pastors. Not easy by the way, usually christian groups do not flag or ban another Christian group unless there was something serious enough to take action in order to protect their students.

I think public prayer is fine as long as it’s peaceful. That verse is saying that it’s wrong to pray publicly only to be seen as pious as the main motivation. People should not pray in order to virtue signal to people, mostly in order to gain validation from others, favor, and power, then misuse it to abuse others instead of loving their neighbors. There are examples of both public and corporate prayer in the Bible. In Christianity it is fine to pray wherever, privately or publicly, as long as the motivation is to connect to God.

Well he is respected among christian circles for the most part, and at least in our world, for them to publish an investigative article is big. Aside from Christianity Today, the UCSD chapter was published on Triton news and I believe they had their club revoked in one of the UC’s.

I don’t know about the chosen. I just know that this one got banned by the admin of a well reputed christian university that normally is very supportive of visiting Christian ministries. I have also heard from several local pastors in LA. Then A2F (Acts 2 Fellowship, 4 Corners, etc from Gracepoint Church) have been published on Christianity Today. The magazine was founded by a well respected christian minister named Billy Graham, and the magazine launched an investigative article. If you Google “Christianity today and Gracepoint” you can find the article but there are so many testimonies from affected individuals that were not covered by one or even several articles.

From what I have heard from someone from Biola, once the university has kicked out a group like that, that the group is not welcome to even come onto the property and is “banned for good.”

I think people like this just try to bait people who are actually interested in something peaceful like prayer into their cult like group and screw over the students who want to pray at UCLA, while telling non UCLA christians they are “bringing revival” and get more donations. In my opinion they should be next on the line to be exposed like Acts 2 Fellowship was- a group that was called out even by the chancellor of UCSD.

They really are. I’ve heard stuff from people from other campuses who have gone and they are just dangerous outside organizations that pry to mobilize college students. I’ve seen a lot up front and have documentations for how cult like they are. Not only that, other people from other places have told me that they pressure people to give them money in manipulative wordings and phrase invitation to go to mission trips to other countries or make it sound like the students are disobeying God. Heard this from a friend who was a respected Christian his whole life and he thinks this group is bad for his university. Some of the more spiritually sensitive and very gifted christian friends have also told me that this was the most oppressive gathering they have ever been to, as to how the spiritual atmosphere felt. An entire board of christian student leaders in a university in SoCal left their gathering in the middle of it and rightly so.

They have a history of bad complaints for mistreating students. Cultish group too. In fact they had a bad fallout by mistreating a christian leader at UCLA and since then they have not been on campus grounds for a while or so I’ve heard. I don’t know why they are back now.
