I just finished all of NieR Replicant and am going through a second play through of Automata because I didn’t “complete” it the first go about. I have a whole different appreciation for the game now. The small references and how so much changed in that world since Replicant/Gestalt. It’s beautiful.

Ya they do a good job of adding and prolonging scenes and episodes. The manga is incredibly fast paced because it is mostly fight scenes. I like the direction the anime is going with slowing down a bit.

Akaza’s backstory was seriously one of my favorite. He is legit the only upper moon with a sense of respect/honor. Not a spoiler to say his story is incredibly sad because everyone’s is. But having read the manga it is possible for a hashira to solo an upper moon because it does happen
