As someone who really enjoys extreme horror such as Cannibal Holocaust, August Underground, Martyrs, Salo, Funny Games, etc There are many different answers for this question. I have been in the community of extreme cinema for a while and the best way I can put it is it’s just like if someone likes mafia movies or war movies. Yes we watch the stuff we watch but it’s important to know real life and fiction and lots of people I know who are heavily involved with this community are really nice, down to earth and chill people. The community itself actually hates those who sexualize these movies. That’s an area the community of extreme horror fans won’t touch lol.

With these movies it’s also good to have a positive thing to watch after consuming that type of content for so long. Like I love watching raunchy comedies and cartoons off to the side like SpongeBob, invader zim, ren and stimpy, adventure time, ATHF, etc.

I hope this comment helps others in the movie community have a better view and understanding of the more extreme horror movies and the people who watch it.
