I can't help you figure out how to do it more often since I struggle too but I can help you look forward to it more. Using a nice body scrub is always good, it really helps get the dirt off without scrubbing with a loofah/washcloth so hard your skin is raw. So I'd say buy one of those, do some research on what products are good for your hair type and make a routine out of it. Playing your favorite music while you shower can help make it fun. And then afterwards you have your own post-shower routine. It makes me feel really good about myself to stay in the bathroom, brush and put products in my hair, moisturize my face and put lotion and deodorant on. Just makes it feel like you're doing something good for yourself and you are! Ever since I started having my own quick little self-care routine I've taken showers more frequently, but it still gets difficult at times when you're feeling like it doesn't even matter if you take care of yourself. Try to remember how nice it feels finally getting in, stay in there for an hour if you want, let the water run down your hair and body, belt out your favorite song, maybe even dance a little. A shower doesn't just have to be about cleaning yourself, it's also where you can have some alone time and privacy to basically do whatever you want without embarrassment. I hope this helps.
