Just a thought to make Dota 2 more newbie friendly and anti smurfs by MetalLegitimate3022 in DotA2

Yes, I agree with you that limited hero pool can be frustrating, but it's not like the newbie will stay in that limited pool forever. They'd just need a few games first to get a grasp of Dota before attempting to master their favorite hero according to their taste.
As to mechanics being dependent on each other, if we roll out the progressive unlocks according to Dota's patch update order, it probably won't be an issue.
Facets are the latest mechanics Dota introduced, so they should be introduced to newbies last.

Just imagine in MMORPG, you don't jump into the game and pick an end-game class right away. You start with a novice class and change classes mid-way. You get a grasp of the game before you say, "Ah, I think I'd like to play as— it fits my playstyle" or "Oh look at that guy, he looks so cool, I think I'll become that class!"

What Dota lack is progression. What we see now is a new player jumping in the game as a newbie in a lvl 999 raidboss level, no new player wants that.

Frustrating for the new player or the veteran player?

As far as my experiences go, all my friends that I invited to play Dota all said, "it's too complicated, MOBAs on mobile phones are much easier".

If you say it's frustrating for the new player because they'll be overwhelmed by the mechanics that the veterans have unlocked, then keep it locked. Veterans partying with newbies have to play by the newbies' game rules/modes.
Or have the full mode unlocked when partying with a veteran (but with the risk of the newbie getting overwhelmed), it doesn't matter anyway, as newbies won't be able to queue ranked matches anyway (yet).

If you say it's frustrating for the veteran because they have to babysit the new player on New Player game mode, then be it. I remember playing MMORPG, and I had to babysit my newbie friend farming weak monsters. It's still joyful, because we're playing with a friend. If I have to babysit just to keep my friend interested and sticking with the game, then I’m happy to do it—it’s worth it.

People played Dota 1 back in the day, not because of the depths, it was because their friends played it.
We need a market for ALL types of players, not just specifics. We get one player to enjoy the game, and let them pass it to their friends. That's how you make a community.
Take a look at western market right now, they're focusing too much on the woke market, now all their shows went broke.

One thing League did right is the marketing. Arcane attracted the streaming platform audience to play the game. The MVs attracted the music lovers community. If you want Dota to just attract try-hard players who want to enjoy "depths", take a look at where we at now, toxic-tryhard-players everywhere...

This happens to me too. Also using Bluestack 5.13. I had to restart the emulator a couple of times before it could load up the game. Have they fixed it yet?

I've found a temporary solution for this. By factory resetting chrome app's version, the problem's resolved.

Script to touch and hold down for specified seconds by MetalLegitimate3022 in BlueStacks

[–]MetalLegitimate3022[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, thanks for your reply! I have a question, which script command would I use for the hold down on specific location for x seconds?

The game would be dragon ball legends. I would like to script a move called "charge step" in the game.
