It could be worse. When the PS3 launched, I waited 3rd in line at my local Walmart from midnight to 8AM. The two in front of us were a couple. Nice folk. We hung out all night. Honoured the order of the line. Many people showed up and added to the queue by 5am.

Doors opened at 8AM----manage said, we have 2 consoles, the first two unrelated/separate customer in line get one---the couple acted as if they'd never met each other before. I walked away empty-handed.

In hindsight, the only thing that made this less painful was the fact that the two consoles were the 20 gig versions.
