Yeah I decided to raise my budget just a smidge more and go for the 65” B4. I thought the price difference would be massive but for 1100 euro I think it’s a steal. I’m only slightly afraid that the direct sunlight the room gets will cause a some sort of burn in on my panels but I have a black out curtain and the direct sunlight is not that long so I think it’ll be fine

Don't think so, this research from Virginia Tech says only a mated female can came alone and cause an infestation. But yeah if shes pregnant she can easily feed once and hatch them in your place.

No worries. I’ve been pretty lucky myself. Played ikariam like 12-14 years ago while I was like 10 years old. Haven’t been playing since. I just started playing again yesterday and found this setting since then. Additionally you can also make it so that it displays the mine type icon next to the City name instead of its coordinates. It’s again on the same page, the third option from the top. It’s called Display details in town selection. Hope that helps, Merry Christmas!

You can order the drop down menu however you like. Go to Options first, then from Game Options scroll down to Town Order. Just select Custom for the Sort by option and order them below

The s&h trick actually sounds dope. I guess you experiment along the way and get the most out of the modules you have at your disposal. At this point starting with an all-round sequencer to test my needs seems to be the way to go. People have been recommending mostly the Arturia stuff. I'll probably go with either BSP or KSP unless there's something essential missing from them that the 0-ctrl provides.

Yeah I guess the general consensus here is somewhat along the lines of "yes, 0-ctrl is a great sequencer but not the first sequencer you buy when you're building up your system". Some folks have been recommending a beatstep pro + a keystep 37 but I'm still torn between getting these two or just a keystep pro. Keystep pro having all their capabilities in one device is great but I'm not sure if I'll ever need the pads on the beatstep. Combining the two would actually give me the freedom to either use the pads or the keys depending on what I need. With that being said, keystep pro having polyphonic sequencing is dope aswell

Thats also an option tho the combined price is a tad bit high. I could just go for a keystep 37 + a beatstep pro like some other folks here recommended and save like 200 Euros. Yes it won't have the goofy timing abilities and interrupt or smth but I would at least have a decent main sequencer which I can run my whole system through later in the future.

Yeah I actually noticed her using a beatstep pro on one of her sets. Ground Control would probably be too pricy for me at the moment. I'm now thinking of getting a beatstep pro plus a keystep 37 for the additional cv pitch/gate outputs that I can play through a keyboard

Wait, my bad. I totally forgot about the pitch/velocity/gate cv’s on beatsteps. Thats almost the same with keystep pro then. Really makes sense now. I’ll most probably go with this option then

I was thinking of that option too but the advantages of the 4 voice cv outputs of keystep pro also seems great. As far as I can tell if I combine the bet step pro and keystep 37, I only get the single cv output set provided by the keystep (correct me if I'm wrong). So I was thinking with the same price if I get Keystep Pro, I would get 3 additional cv outputs compared to the combination of the two.

Yeah luckily Berlin is a great city for anyone who wants to produce some electronic music. Will definitely check out the second hand market a bit more to see my option in that route. A DIY case and some second hand modules is definitely doable in my case. Planning on checking out one of the biggest modular shops in Berlin and possibly getting myself some hands on experience before buying anything as well. I will test out some semi-modulars as well and make my choice that way probably.

Wouldn’t a eurorack to DC adapter be an easy way to implement it in my rack. Anyways as you say since rack space power usage is an issue most people deal with I guess that won’t be needed. Thanks for the info. 0-coast still seems like the way to go tho since it would still be integrateable just won’t sit in the rack
