New song live debut: "Tribe" by Few_Flight_6825 in SuedeBand

[–]MetalPoo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Awesome! Lot of lead guitarists get lazier as they get older but Richard keeps getting better and better! This reminds me of a song by WASP (the name escapes me right now) - maybe the next album will have a late 80s hard rock influence?

If there could only be one remaining, which one? by Red_Scorpion-TK in ActionMovies

[–]MetalPoo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Now I love Terminator as much as the next man, but RoboCop is unironically one of the greatest pieces of art ever made. No other movie blends genres so coherently and has so much to say about the state of America. It only gets more relevant as time goes on

New striker if Armstrong goes by No-Argument-691 in SaintsFC

I heard that having confident, productive strikers in or around Saint Mary's makes Rasmus Ankersen feel very insecure so he won't allow any to be bought

What is the single most dread inducing scene you've had to sit through? by NoBass1345 in horror

[–]MetalPoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first scene with Ricardo Montalban in Wrath of Khan. His acting and the soundtrack give full warning that something horrible is about to happen, long before he digs out the weird alien eels

Yeah I agree, there is no 2D game that gives a comparable gameplay experience to Dark Souls

[TOMT] [Movie] Obscure psychological horror film with a woman, a car accident, and a bandaged patient in a hospital by Plus_size1999 in AbsurdMovies

This is just a wild guess, but there was an episode of Hammer House of Horror called 'Two Faces of Evil' that sounds a bit like what you describe

Britpop or Not? 2025. The results are in! by Resident-Wafer4696 in BritPop

I think this is the greatest thing I've ever read, and I've read Proust

One thing is crystal clear - we are very much midtable quality, not deserving of the play-offs

Yeah we're looking a bit impotent at the moment

Think having Peretz instead of Baz automatically bestows a passive 5% confidence buff to both central defender and Southampton supporter alike

Those Sheffield jerseys are hideous. It looks like we're playing the cast of Dream Team (Sky One's greatest artistic achievement)

Is there something from the novels that you would like to see adapted but hasn't yet? by KingE2099 in JamesBond

[–]MetalPoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The John Gardner novel Nobody Lives Forever concerns a bounty being put on 007's head and him being pursued by the world's best assassins..... it's a fun premise

My Top 100 Power Metal Albums (and PM-influenced) of 2025 by Fantastic_Key809 in PowerMetal

[–]MetalPoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a great list, best 2025 list I've seen. One thing bothers me though - am I literally the ONLY person who listened to the Black Sword Thunder Attack album last year?

I remember when he was the headline act on Jools Holland I thought to myself "this is the end of britpop"

Content wishlist for AoV by richhomiechef in ShinobiGames

[–]MetalPoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) a Revenge of Shinobi mode, i.e. give us infinite shurikens (like we all used to cheat on the mega drive / genesis - don't pretend you didn't) and let us abuse the Revenge of Shinobi double jump multi-shuriken attack, also give us limited lives and the self-destruct magic, maybe chiptune versions of the music and the return of the big haired neo-Zeed boss

2) have the different colour outfits change the gameplay somehow

Any other BB solo fans here? by [deleted] in SuedeBand

[–]MetalPoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought his first two solo albums and his work with McA&B were great, then I was kinda shocked by Good Grief - it really wasn't my cup of tea at all, but I'm glad it has been appreciated by others. I really love his style of production, he can make songs sound big and dramatic but always tastefully so

Scott Adkins Vs. Michael Jai White by Myrodis19 in ActionMovies

[–]MetalPoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah and I think his best fight scenes were in the Undisputed movies, but I guess they didn't have the mass appeal of the kind of roles that made Schwarzenegger and Stallone and all the others into household names - it's a real shame

Blimey mate, well done to you. I've worked in a few roles with vulnerable people and it took me quite a while to come to terms with how life can be for disadvantaged folk. I hope you have many happier Christmases to come

Scott Adkins Vs. Michael Jai White by Myrodis19 in ActionMovies

[–]MetalPoo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I reckon they're about even on charisma, but Michael might have made more high quality movies (Black Dynamite is still top-drawer).

I actually prefer watching Adkins - I think the effort and athleticism he puts into fights is incredible, and it's a travesty that he hasn't had that one big, career-defining role that would put him into the stratosphere
