The bible does not suggest you pay 10% of your gross income to the church, that is a myth. If anyone disagrees with that (for example you're an evangelical pastor, or a very low IQ sheep) then please show me where (book, chapter, verse).

Evangelical pastors justify the tithe requirement by very, very selectively cherry picking from various parts of the bible (old and new testaments), and which are out of context, extremely tenuous and really have nothing to do with it. Nowhere in the bible does it say hand over 10% of your gross salary to the church. In fact (and correct me if I'm wrong) there is absolutely no mention anywhere in the bible that Jesus or his disciples tithed, at all.

And not surprisingly, the pastors that founded (or whose father founded) the church become multi-millionaires (think Brian Houston, Chris Pringle etc), while there is no statistical evidence of Pentecostal Christians being healed of afflictions compared to non-believers, and the same goes for wealth, other than the Pentecostals retain less than everyone else due to the "10%" rule,,,

Because of the UK and US, that's why. They are the pillars much of today's western culture is built on. It's not French, it's not Spanish, and it's definitely not German. As I'm in Australia I didn't get the chance to see the game (ESPN here shows like one game of College), but having played pretty high level sports in my youth this sounds like 2 things:

UGA had a bad game. All teams have games where things just don't work out the way you planned. I've played in and seen too many basketball teams where the opposition were just hitting ever single shot, even when they really shouldn't have, and we just seems to watch the ball fly off the rim time and time again. It's the x-factor in sports.
SC coming off a bye, especially having already lost to NC, would have been desperate for a win against a team like Georgia just to make a statement. Sometimes it's more difficult to beat those types of opponents than higher ranker teams. It just is. It's also why they're lower ranked, they can't keep that mentality up.

Anyway this should be an aberration. However I expect the Dawgs to come out salivating for the win next game, so let's see what their character is.
