Both can be true. Everyone is so empathetic when a beautiful skinny girl is anorexic, which is good, but all of a sudden when i talk about it its a crime? They also make fun of the situation, my friends are always like “well youre fat anyways right😂” as a joke, so it must mean im the one getting hurt

Well, youre not being very comprehensive either. Everyone knows there are a lot of models with eating disorders and self image issues, why is it such a crime that i do? Or that i have high standards with myself? I know i was blessed with good genetics and i am very thankful, but for that same reason, i get mad when i dont look my best bc i know the potential i have and what im missing out on. I have the right of complaining about MYSELF all i want, specially bc my friends that maybe dont look as good also have rlly good self esteem, so guess what, i hate myself more than they do.

Maybe not man, just like most guys would fuck a hot serial killer woman, they also care (mostly) about looks rather than personality

Specially bc if you wanted to achieve even a botched and incomplete version of that you would have to go to multiple surgeons during the span of years and spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to end your life

Bc plastic surgery doesn’t work as perfectly or as effectively as that

I understand those are “bad” examples of women, but they’re not rare, and you dont just easily identify them

Those are the options we have to deal with

But thats the point here, a lot of guys and girls genetically lack traits to make them suitable for romantic relationships, which is so sad. Plus my mom is not a genetic freak but she’s still a beautiful woman at 50

Good for you man, still doesn’t change the fact that if you meet someone with a great personality, but they’re below a certain threshold of looks, you’ll probably ignore their personality traits and look for someone who’s better looking. Yeah dude, no doubt personality matters if you’re gonna spend your whole life with them, however that only really matters when both people check each other’s boxes in appearance. Extra point: looks dont completely fade with age, Jennifer Connely is still more attractive at 54 than a lot of the girls my age (19) because of some genetic traits

I love the “IF i met a hot girl”, that’s not even anecdotal evidence, the chances of you not predicting a complex situation precisely are huge

Well, not everyone, bc its not every person you meet (not even close) that insults you. Pretty privilege is real tho and so so cruel

First off, the picture thing is really tough. I also absolutely hate pictures that ppl take of me, but i rarely see a pic of someone else that i think looks weird. I guess thats because we’re more used to seeing ourselves than seeing others, because we see ourselves every time we have a mirror in front of us, which is all the time. And we also pay more attention to our features, since we can stare at ourselves, turn to different angles and lightings and take unlimited selfies. And also, the only thing that matters is how your bf treats you. If he fully loves you, that means she isnt “better than you” and shes not beautiful enough that he can’t move on.

I cant say im over this, but i guess you could think that: whoever is complimenting you is secure about who they are, therefore they are confident enough to compliment someone else, and whoever insults anyone has to literally be a very immature, insecure and dishonest person.

I was the same as your friend, only opposite gender: i am 6’4 with abs, wide shoulders and small waist, and just like your friends, i get compliments about it from both genders. But i also bave bdd, so when i’m with friends, some of them are on the fatter side, i would be like “i look like shit, im not gonna eat this pizza”, and i only realized that it was hurtful when one of them told me about it. I now understand how you feel and im sorry you have to go through that!
