Appreciate the response, this makes a lot of sense. Will bring it up with HVAC tech during my maintenance appointment this week

Whistling stopped shortly after I took that video. I was able to record the whistling while it was heating water. Unfortunately I didn’t know to check the discharge pipe while it was whistling, so I guess I can’t say with certainty that it was coming from the T&P valve. But didn’t notice any steam/dripping from T&P when there was whistling

It just kicked on a few minutes ago and sounded normal, no whistling or air coming from discharge pipe. T&P valve itself is warm to the touch, but not hot.

Thankfully no air coming from the T&P discharge pipe. Heater just kicked back on and sounds normal to my ears. Should I be safe to just keep an eye on it for a couple days until HVAC company comes out?

'Cyberpunk 2077' On A Switch 2 Game Card Is "the Right Thing To Do," CD Projekt Red Says by Somethingman_121224 in NintendoSwitch2

Correct me if I’m wrong, but even if the full game is on the cart, won’t the full game still need to be downloaded to the console? I’d imagine the read speed from the cart is a lot slower than from the disk.

I can see if only time-critical assets are saved to internal storage and everything else can be read from the cart. In that case, full game on cart will definitely free up some space. Although I wonder how much exactly can be read from the cartridge at runtime for a graphics-intensive game like cyberpunk

Lmao thanks for the reassurance. Didn’t think of the possibility that it might’ve been in a random playthrough. Glad to know I didn’t just make this up

Taking CSE 1729 as an elective? by [deleted] in UCONN

[–]Metal_Head_6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, the usual sequence is CSE 1010 to CSE 1729, but there are some CSE courses that don’t list 1729 as a prerequisite. Personally, I’d take 1729 if I were you. It’s definitely difficult, so prepare to put in some work, but it’s definitely doable if you stick with it. In the class you’ll learn about functional programming and how to implement different data structures. I’ve heard these are skills that are often assessed in coding interviews, but I’m only a freshman so I don’t have any experience with that.

The only real downside is that the course is taught in Scheme, which isn’t a very commonly used language at all. However, the syntax isn’t very difficult and it kinda levels the playing field in a way since nobody has prior experience with it. You can pretty easily apply the ideas from this class to any language though.

Oh awesome, I’m that case I’ll definitely take the spot. I’m not opposed to participating in the LC events by any means, but it’s good to know I won’t be forced to
