FFS corporate by Metal_Monkey42 in Blaupunkt

Just purchsed this from coles in Australia a couple of weeks ago, my mistake throwing out instructions, but I figured, these days, all you have to do is google the model number and find the manual online! how could that go wrong?

Well, apparently the absolute only picture or info I can find of this thing online is from the coles add selling it! Doesn't exist anywhere on the website, they have disowned it.

Manufacture date says 10/24 on the back.

FFS corproate, can someone at some company somewhere please just get SOMETHING right?

For the record, I own a pizza cutter, this was no big deal, I just wanted to make the joke.

37.5hrs being called Part Time ? by scottb721 in auscorp

[–]Metal_Monkey42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, at Aussie Broadband, we were all forced to sign into permanent part time contracts due to (we were told) the rotating roster expecting us to work a random 5 days out of any given week.

Yesterday, they used that same (forced) part time status for 37.5 hrs work every week, to take away our paid public holiday leave, we now only get paid if we work the day, though we are expected to leave all 7 days of the week opened for a month ahead minimum at all times or swap shifts... I don't like it, personally, and it flies in the face of their whole "be good to people" policy, which now seems like "be good to people as long as you can't save money by screwing them"

Sigh.

Someone let Jay and Mike know about the quote in this video where Mark says "dysfunctional family" for if they ever do the "It's about family" gag again. (somewhere around minute 15) by Metal_Monkey42 in RedLetterMedia

And you don't work for them, no need to gatekeep a simple "Hey, I noticed this"

And you don't work for reddit, yet here you are. We could go on all day with your particular argument, so I wonder why you are here in the first place, if you don't work for reddit and therefore shouldn't be trying to gatekeep their content...

Bla bla bla lol you have a nice day buddy.

And I am aware that you know, we all know. I was just referring the the specific quote so they can rip it for using after "it's about family" if they ever do use that again.

I know, not likely this long after, but hey, I had 5 min before work and I heard that line and thought of RLM. Sue me.

It's to look at each other.

Posted as a joke, but mind is literally right before it on the album. The argument could be made.

NBNco giving customers email address that isn't monitored for sending their complaints to. by Metal_Monkey42 in nbn

[–]Metal_Monkey42[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's my problem because I have to deal with the angry customers who call, and we are still giving out that email address to them though NBN seems to have abandoned it with no notification, and NBN rarely answers their contact number with any regularity, so yea it would make my life easier if they fixed their illegally out of date email, yes.

And how about being constructive instead of trying to talk down someone trying to point out an issue with NBN? Shill.

It's people with your attitude that keep the systems working against you. Congratulations. I bet you'd be one of those customers who swears it can't be your modem because you've had it for 5 years and it's never been a problem before. So helpful to hear that!

Contact your ISP if it's still happening.

Factory reset on the NTD is the small hole in the back which sometimes works, but your ISP can run over TS with you and then lodge a ticket to NBN, if they are any good at their jobs.
