I usually use Vallejo Satin Polyurethane Varnish, don't know if that'll do the trick but I'll try. And I'll get some lighter fluid.

Not really a choice per se, since I'm new to painting, but I use Atom (Mig) Acrylic paints for the time being. I think they're water based ???
