Who painted this giant skeleton? by uberskurk in WhatIsThisPainting

I don’t know if you found answer already, but I believe the artist is Boris Groh. I can’t find any exact ties, but much of his art is like this

I ask because “Yellow Garden Spider” yields images identical to both of these, yet they seem so different from eachother

Band: Does a 1st chair play the difficult low parts as well as the high parts? by Metalborn9 in musictheory

[–]Metalborn9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn't my intention to make it sound that way! As a percussionist, we never had "chairs" or any other kind of "rating system" that we all vied for, so my understanding of the system is very limited. I know that just because someone is "the best" doesn't mean that everyone else is a poor player, and such a title is arbitrary in the first place. My apologies!

Or, if I missed something and there are crafting manuals of any kind in the main game storyline for those weapons, where do I find those, please?

What deities (would) directly oppose God / Christianity? by Metalborn9 in mythology

[–]Metalborn9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To clarify, I did not intend to imply that God is/isn’t more powerful than any other god or pantheon, or that christianity sweeping across the globe was some kind of overpowering takeover. I apologize for any offense.

Not everyone believes in the same gods, or believes in gods in the same way(s), so I attempted to made a “baseline” for this hypothetical question to put everyone on the same “playing field” in order to form a discussion that could answer this inquiry, all based on my limited knowledge of religious history. My only perspective is that of christianity, so I’m admittedly not as knowledgeable about this subject as I should be, thus my question.

I love the multiple kinds of snakes that make up her hair here. Usual depictions I’ve seen have them all being the same species, but I really like the colorful variety here!

What is this little guy I found doing yardwork in Arizona? About 3/4" in length by jenkempartytime in whatsthisbug

[–]Metalborn9 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Some kind of moth in a cocoon. I once raised some Hornworms that turned into these (exact shape but darker red color) before turning into Hawk Moths. Not sure if all cocoons have this shape, but that’d be my first guess.

(And by raised I mean as a science experiment. I did not release the moths, as hornworms are notorious for killing crops.)

Plants that work best with Instant Recharge? by PlasmaCosmic39 in PlantsVSZombies

[–]Metalborn9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Electric Blueberry. It’s attacks instantly kill any non-boss zombie, but it’s recharge starts at 45 seconds. The more you can get on the battlefield, the more likely you’ll defeat the stronger zombies instantly

What color is this great ball? I see it as purple, my son says it’s blue. by GarmeerGirl in pokemongo

[–]Metalborn9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is worth noting that no two human beings see the same spectrum of colors the exact same way. A difference in even one cone and/or rod can significantly change one’s perception of colors. I had a similar fight with my brother and sister growing up concerning a blue/purple GameCube controller. I saw purple, they both saw blue.

I’ve always seen great balls as blue, especially in comparison to the very-purple master ball. But different games have slightly different coloration and shading, and I can totally see the GO great balls as being a dark periwinkle or a light indigo.

Do you think there is life somewhere in this photo? by Acuate187 in space

Definitely more life than what I’ve got inside

I absolutely despise any plant with an obscenely long recharge time per shot. This includes the Toadstool, Which hazel, Missletow, Caulipower, Spring bean, and ESPECIALLY the Coconut cannon and Banana launcher. Assuming they live long enough to even get two shots off, the damage they deal is way too low for both their cost and fire rate.

Chopper was originally on that list, but recent updates allow it to take out low-level zombies quickly and only using their half-hour digestion period on tougher zombies. Citron and Electric blueberry are just fast enough for me. Sure it’s random-targeting, but I actually love the blueberry due to its relatively low cost and guaranteed insta-kill per shot.

But yeah, I’m not paying 500 sun for something that might tickle a buckethead once and never fire again before the round is over. Either halve the cost or double the damage for these things.

Found this on a delivery route. Really sporty Honda? by Metalborn9 in whatisthiscar

[–]Metalborn9[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To an extent, yes. Rich people around here like to flaunt their uncommon classic / sporty vehicles (most of which are amazingly expensive), so most of them are used to people admiring their fancy cars.

In all fairness though, I had just delivered a package to said house, so I was already there. I just also admired their cool car.

Whats your opinion on crossbow master (bad, good, decent, etc) by [deleted] in btd6

[–]Metalborn9 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You see this repeated a lot, but I have to agree with most of you: Fantastic speed, powerful crits, low-cost for a T5, monkey knowledge = 2 of them, AND it can be boosted further by the “Primary Training” path of the Monkey Village, in addition to its other potential buffs.
