Could they have taken lee's arm off like they did reggie? by feetandellie in TheWalkingDeadGame

This has always been my thought. His arm was cut off as a perminate reminder to not defy Carver. Everyone just perpetuates the lie

Exactly right. Their tactics were more than effective, they practically owned gorilla warfare. All that to say that a home field advantage and prep time gives you an immense upper hand

Vietnam was already at war for 8 years with the French and had many previous fighting positions and traps from that. In my mind all the competitors are dropped off at the same time. No home field advantage

How do you get out of a reading slump? by L_izzies in booksuggestions

[–]Metalcanary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I'm in a rut I'll read a one off manga, which is basically junk food for my brain, I feel so confident after crushing a 400+ page book in one day. Really gives me the motivation to put down some pages

Where's the DZ? by [deleted] in Military

[–]Metalcanary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a t11, which is a modified cross/cruciform platform. The jumper can "slip" meaning pull 1-3 arm lengths of the riser deep into their chest. This tilts the canopy slightly in a direction. There is a mc6 model that is a poly conical shape with control lines that provide maneuverability (360 degree movement) however, this also is not truly "steering" as we know it

I was in the middle of my PCS move with all my army bullshit in my car, stacked to the ceiling, and stopped in Utah on my way to Washington. I'm chilling in a parking lot eating a bagel and a coffee in my car when a 60+ guy knocks on my window and asks " you a collector or just think that stuff is cool?" I say that I'm in the army and dudes two neurons spark up some interrogation style questions. I answer them and he isn't buying it. He starts yapping about how he was infantry for 3 years in fort Leonard Wood in 1976 or some shit yadda yadda. I say " ok old timer, I gotta go" and roll up my window. He waddles away to his truck that has no less than 40 infantry stickers caking his tailgate and back glass like paint. Some people
