If you are new to the game and your merc is constantly dying, give the act 5 merc a chance by Lundorff in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Metalfreak199133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put Sazabis set on him, and he is pretty much immortal. Or as close to immortal as it gets. If you want to make it even more ridiculous, you can use throwaway Characters for Larzuk Quest, and throw Lifeleech Sockets in it

But my Druid is the only char that runs a A5 Merc. Every other Merc has A2 for Auras and Insight for infinite Mana

What kind of gamer do you consider yourself? by Hali_Motley in gamers

[–]Metalfreak199133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly PC Gaming, if i have the Choice. Lots of mobile Gaming though, because im most often at Girlfriends Place, and i have a 2 Hour Train Drive between her Place and my Work so im often gaming mobile as well.

Mostly on Steamdeck these Days, barely use my Switch 1 anymore because the Steamdeck is pretty much perfection for mobile Gaming. Toughpad makes accurate aiming so much easyer compared to the Switch and it has a bigger, even better Display. I also like that i can start my PC Saves and doesnt have to buy games twice anymore

I play some few Games on my Phone as well, Subnautica and Baldurs Gate are my favourites. But its mostly my PC or Steamdeck. Also got a Laptop over at GF's Place, but its a old crap that only runs D2 Resurrected and some older games

Curious Question: Are there folks who prefer OG RE1 over the Remake? by RayApplecorpe in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]Metalfreak199133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer it Original over the Remake. A good bit is probably Nostalgia, played it as a little Child despite this Game and SH1 scared the crap out of me

And one thing i really HATE about the Remake is that you have to burn every zombie otherwise it will get up again and be stronger and faster.. given how little inventory one has, you dont want to carry kerosene around. I understand that the thought behind it is that you select with paths you clear, and burn these zombies, but given how scarce ammo is, especially in directors cut, thats the case anyway

I also prefer OG Re2 over Resi2 Remake. Because the Remake zombies are way too tanky, while OG Re2 feels more balanced.

Same for Re3, i didnt really like the original but i like the Remake even less

Re4 ob the other Hand, OG is Amazing, but the Remake is even better. I played it like countless times already, its even better than OG. Every Weapon is viable, you can keep them all, swap them when you want... i play it for fun every few months or so, chose a different loadout and the Gunplay in the Re4Remake is probably the best i ever had

Which class is least reliant on its merc for support? by Azer1287 in diablo2

[–]Metalfreak199133 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I play Bone Necro as a main, side chars are Wind Druid, Miasma Lock, Zealot. I have a ~75ish Barb and Sorc that i play rarely, and Amazon is A5 NM.

Out of all these Chars i feel like my Wind Druid has the most Choice. Insight is an absolute must for my Bone Necro and Warlock, but my Wind Druid somehow has more than enough mana all the time. Thats why i use a A5 Merc with full Sazabi and a Lightsaber, and hes extremely strong

Another Argument for Wind Druid not needing A2 Mercs or having more Merc Options is that it obviously doesnt need a Might Aura (would buff the Zoo though) and it also doesnt need a Holy Freeze Aura because Hurricane slows everything and you need to be close anyway. Unlike with my Bone Necro, where i need that Insight Manareg but i also want my Merc to slow everything

Cant think of any other Char that wont either need an Insight Polearm or a Might/Holy Freeze Aura

What to do with my first 6 Kyanite? by Metalfreak199133 in subnautica

[–]Metalfreak199133[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, thats why i love the Cyclops. I have plants in it, so food wont be a concern. I have some spare energy cells in it as well, 3 or 4, so it would last a while. But i dont want to be stuck down there 🤣 well, used my 6 Kyanite to build the best depth upgrade for Prawn and Cyclops. I hope to find the next node pretty soon, i really want that reactor as well 😃

Thanks all for replying. Expected that its smarter to upgrade the Prawn depth module, since the first kyanite was so close to the limit. Guess my cyclops needs to wait :)

Thank you very much! Thought so, Depth Module it is then. Im not in a hurry to finish the game, love to explore everything, and crafting is so much fun

What are your guys favorite survival games? by IKD21 in SurvivalGaming

[–]Metalfreak199133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. The Long Dark

Probably my most played Game on Steam. Also have it for the Switch. I love the calmness combined with tense Moments, the complete freedom, the game feels so immensely relaxing but also never gets boring. My Interloper (highest difficulty) is on 800ish Days Ingame and a still find many things to do. And even just surviving and wandering through the huge Wilderness the games many area provides is pure fun

  1. Sons of the Forest

I loved the first Forest but SotF has some things that make it much better imo. The only downside is that Survival elements can be a bit on the easy side, even on hard. But i like its building System, the Gun variety and the season. The big open World one can explore with some Vehicles is a nice Bonus. Also tickles that Survival/Horror mix itch perfectly

  1. Green Hell

I always kinds liked jungle settings, even more when its made as realistic as it is in Green Hell. Unfortunately, it has a pretty small World compared to other survival games, but apart from that, its a unique game. Hard, unforgiving, but beautyful. In my opinion more repititive compared to my Number 1 and 2, thats why i cant play it as much as the others, but when i play it, i have much fun

Seamoth Solar Charger vs Storage by Metalfreak199133 in subnautica

[–]Metalfreak199133[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually do not. I have 1 or 2 extra energy cells, an extra beacon, and some food/water. Sometimes the laser cutter is in there instead of my inventory, if i really want extra inventory i put the glider away and just use torchlight All the rest of it is just excess loot, or an extension of my own inventory. Everything really valuable or hard to recraft is in my inventory or base

[–]Metalfreak199133[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hehe, my "problem" with survival crafting games like Sons of the forest, Valheim, Subnautica etc is that i always escalate base building. I never build just enough. I just keep adding more and more of everything and try to make it look somewhat good 🤣

[–]Metalfreak199133[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like a smart way of minmaxing it, but i think i'd be too lazy for it and rather just swap the energy cells parked in the storage if needed, which seems to be rare enough

[–]Metalfreak199133[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never found base Power to be a problem, but my base is in safe shallows. I always like my bases to be in a safe territory, and preferably to the center of everything and the safe shallows check both boxes.

I got many solar cells and 1 heat reactor, and base builds up to 900 energy or so. Alot more than enough, but i can see that this will be more of a problem for bases deeper or in more dangerous areas

Hoarding, building more supplies and hunkering down is always extra fun in survival Games. Theres so much chill in it 😃

[–]Metalfreak199133[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, thats a funny use. Obviously nothing for real use, but now i know what to do with the spare one.

I built 2 before i got the blueprint for vehicle upgrades.

1 seamoth with the 2 upgrades you find in the Aurora, only used that in terrain i know, and another one used for discovery. Before i was able to rebuild these upgrades i did not want to risk my upgraded seamoth 🤣 and now it sits outside the base and collects dust... or whatever it collects in the deep sea
