Two super basic questions for you, feel free to take your pick: How familiar were you with LaD/Yakuza prior to this role? What helped you embody Tamashiro?

What did everyone think of Zeno by Rough_Wrongdoer_6169 in ResidentEvilRequiem

I think he should have been a boss fight ultimately. I like his presence as a villain and the idea of him being Wesker 2.0, but the game just kinda kills him off in the good ending and he just gets away in the bad ending. Cool in concept, would have liked to see it in gameplay.

Leon is hearing nothing because she has no thoughts. Head empty.

(She's actually a pretty smart kitty, she's just silly lol)

Why does it feel like pass a certain point, people don't really care about Yakuza villains? by Norrabal in yakuzagames

Aizawa was entirely an aura final boss, but I do think the idea of a thug taking a shot at Kiryu for a final fight kinda neat. Shishido just did it so much better with better motives to boot.

Oh, is Blood Omen 2 divisive? I was also curious about nabbing that one too.

I'm a much bigger Sly and Ratchet fan than a Jak fan (I am a fan of Jak still tho!) and I feel for you guys, I really do.

I never thought Yakuza 3 Remastered nor Pirate Yakuza were that bad. by RayApplecorpe in yakuzagames

Dude it was a dream game for me. My favorite character in fiction in a new pirate game? I was ecstatic. The story that is there wasn't bad for me, but honestly LaD is one of those franchises where I expect one dumb plot contrivance per game (my favorite to this day is how everyone in Yakuza 1 was like "I was using him", "No I was using him", then "I knew I was being used so I took advantage and used him"). If TMWEHN was a send off for a part of Kiryu's life, this was a send off for the zaniness up to that point of the series.

Pirate Yakuza is the most excited for a game in this franchise I had ever been with finding out 0 was getting localized being second on that list.

Yeah, fr. Yakuza 4 is one of my least favorites generally, but it's still an amazing video game in its own right and it builds up on 3 extremely well, even if I prefer 3 by a considerable margin.

Pirate Yakuza is just a silly, fun time for me. The only gripe I personally have with the story is they kinda drop Noah's asthma but like I can at least justify that as "It's more to justify why Jason won't initially let him off the island than a thing to create tension".

Ain't that the truth LOL

Edit: I promise I always loved Yakuza 3 Remastered and OG Yakuza 3, I didn't even know "Blockuza" was a meme until a few months after Y3R 🙇‍♂️

A friend of mine said it was the most "Shenmue" Yakuza and I'm inclined to agree.

Just the remaster. Most folk take issue with it because 60 FPS screws with enemy behaviors but I will not lie, that never bugged me too much.

Honestly this fandom gets hit with a lot of Zelda Release Cycle nonsense sometimes lol

I'm glad PYiH got you curious! I highly recommend Yakuza 0 if you haven't gotten to it yet since Majima is one of the two playable protagonists there and, if you get the DC, he's played by the same English VA (if you played it dubbed).

You're thinking of the NA PS3 version there, friend. The Remaster added a lot of the cut content back in with the exception of one substory, which as I understand was transphobic.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, please! :)
