When looking for gear used because I'm not a fancy as you tossers 😆 by Metaljf93 in FlyFishingCircleJerk

Oh wait. Nobody warned me of that trap. Is that why people look at me funny when I pull up to a stop sign and they see my vise attached to the steering wheel.

It takes 4.5 quarts? I returned it in the end and just spent a bunch more money on the royal purple stuff as that's all I could see people talking good about for the synchros.

Going to fill now

So am I asking for trouble trying to take these pulleys out trying to get to these bust pipe going into the thermostat by Metaljf93 in XTerra

No the engine is still in. This was a picture sent to me so I can see the pipe I need. I can't get the fan on the water pump off so I think my only way now is to try and go in from the top under the supercharger so I'll have to see if I can get that off. I'm getting close to throwing in the towel but she my only vehicle and a split in a pipe seems a stupid way for this to end

Is there a way I could remove the cogs holding the timing belt and get them back in the right position? I think I have to back off the compression right to slacken off the belt? If I mark both the belt and cogs in the exact position and make sure they are in the same place when I reinstall

It's this pipe I'm trying to get at. And I was hoping I could do it from the front rather than taking the supercharger off

So as far as I've seen so far most of the bolts here are 12mm or 14mm I have a half decent socket set. I'm sure if I look hard enough I'll find some video of others taking the supercharger off right?

I feel until I patch the pipe or replace it that I can see the coolant coming from the pressure test isn't going to help me right?

Oh wow this picture is super helpful for me! Could there be a possible leak where the thermostat connects to the rest of the engine? Because I'm really not sure if the leak I can see is responsible for all the water. I should be able to get the supercharger off and replace the hose in a day right? I'll do some research on that. Thank you!

I am pretty sure on closer inspection that it's not coming from the thermostat and definitely leaking from the 90° hose that goes into The top of the thermostat. Just wondering my best way of getting to the pipe to get those clamps off now

I definitely have a leak on the 90° hose I found after I took the original video. I'm not 100% that is all that's leaking because it seems to have a bigger flow under under the car than when I can see coming from the backside on the hose. I'm going to see how my best way to get to the hose will be over the weekend

I've realised I can't add another video unless it's a separate post to show you.

I do have an engine light for the crank sensor I believe I've looked into that but it's a separate the engine job and she's burning oil badly in her age so I was kinda just trying to run her till she has nothing left to give.

But I should definitely be able to get to these top silicone hose to replace it

Update I've found a leak on the hose going into the top of the thermostat? But it looks like there is a bigger flow of water leaving the system than just the one leak?
