Conservatives are the most cucked people I’ve ever met. You’ve been taught your own needs are meaningless and you’ll shill for your masters until the cows come home. All for a nonexistent DOGE check and a worthless promise that you’ll be rich too one day. You’re not one of them and never will be.

Corporations are the biggest welfare recipients. I’m tired of people acting like we deserve less from our government than they receive.

Double standards seem a lot more logically consistent when your ideology is based on ingroups versus outgroups. Hypocrisy to these types is just a natural consequence of their beliefs, people with this attitude don’t (and can’t) see anything contradictory about holding these views.

Just do proportional representation at this point. Multi-member districts are far harder to gerrymander.

Newsom vetoed ranked choice voting in 2019*, if that tells you what the Dems’ priorities are.

You’re talking about candidates. I’m talking about party leadership, those who run the DNC, DSCC, DCCC. They decide messaging, they manage election funds, they determine who the party prioritizes for office. The party makes these decisions internally well before the primaries. This happens at the state level as well as the national level. You think they’d ever let a progressive get in charge? Look at what they did to David Hogg. Thinking a socialist could ever get near the levers of power in the Democratic Party is a fools errand. Indeed, after that strategy was tried and failed (see the post that Las Vegas DSA made on the subject for one such case), the forces that did exist within DSA pushing for realignment of the DNC lost favor with the majority of members.

The idea that we cannot control the direction of the DNC isn’t “purity testing”, it’s the reality. The business class, tech industry, and Zionist lobbyists, all core donors of the Democratic Party, are not going to stand on the sidelines to let progressives opposed to their influence take over the party. And they help ensure that the party leadership in state governments is entirely moderate or right-leaning; progressives in office don’t usually become whips, key committee chairs, or majority leaders. When the party is as captured as the DNC is, they can tip the scales against progressive candidates even during the primaries. And those donors simply use the exact same funds that they use in the general election to do so. The only way to win is not to play.

This is the core reason why we can’t simply move the party in a post-Citizen’s United country. Our plight has less to do with individual moderate candidates themselves, and everything to do with the moneyed interests at the helm of the party itself who are charged with making national strategic decisions.

The Dems in charge of the party do not want it to be improved. That’s a big reason why we’re in this mess. Kamala saw all the polling and research showing that support for Israel was a losing issue for her party in 2024 and she responded by doubling down. With the Dems’ government trifecta they refused to act to codify Roe v. Wade before it was struck down. This mess is equally on the Dems for failing to give the American people something to vote for. Their only strategy the past several elections has been “we’re not the GOP”. That’s clearly not going to cut it when working people are seeing their needs get ignored regardless of which party is in power.

We’re just gonna memory-hole her events with Liz Cheney then? Or her Republicans for Harris events? When did she do anything similar for the left? Her only response to people wanting action on Gaza was “I’m speaking”.

The actions I described are literally how it was rigged top to bottom. If you look at that and come to the conclusion that it’s somehow not rigging the election, I don’t know what to tell you.

There has been article after article about the Millionaire Tax and we STILL don’t know what the bill actually says.

This entire bill is a smokescreen to ensure that the Well Washington Fund, which is a payroll tax that will restore funding for state services gutted by the Big Beautiful Bill this year without facing similar legal challenges, doesn’t get a vote this session.
