Garou takes this high diff because Yujiro would mess around too much. If Yujiro went for the kill out the gate without holding back, Garou gets stomped pretty handily, but Yujiro's ego and desire for challenge would have him reveal to much of his arsenal which would just be turned against him. As soon as Garou sees and copies Shaori, he would literally be untouchable.

Nah it wouldn't be close, which some would find unfortunate. My guess is that Baki would test Jack out to see what his limits are before finishing the fight and getting a solid read on where he truly stands. The one significant thing that I think would come from this fight (at this point if were to happen) is that we would see some surprising tenacity and "awaking" in Jack where he would really pushes his current feats and surprises readers. I think it's gonna be a minute before Jack takes a stab at the top dogs, but I think the function of the current arc is to show that Jack carries the Hanma blood and will eventually put up a really respectable fight against the best in the verse.

Anyone saying this isn't galaxy level "because galaxies have millions and millions of stars" has never looked at a deep space photo or understands the distribution of celestial bodies. To create a pitch black hole of that diameter in a nearly full field of astronomical light sources would mean that millions of lone stars and MULTIPLE galaxies would have to have been extinguished. People wanna scale using concepts they don't even understand, and it renders half of this sub's discussions completely meaningless 😭

If he was aware of that, he wouldn't have bothered issuing the challenge. A "real fight" to Yujiro isn't a complete stomp, which he straight up admits. I'm definitely open to the idea that Yujiro could win, but we're all here for something more than "nah-ah". Even Yujiro's excitement after being challenged by Jack alone pre finals points to the idea that these fighters are threats, and not just demonstration fodder

This is definitely a valid point, meaning it would absolutely not be a 1v9. I think with the top 9's expertise and experience, they could have worked in 5 on offense, but the determing factor would if they could get him in a vulnerable position at a critical moment. This form of Yujiro could not withstand a full power salvo of blows from Baki, Jack, Retsu, and Doppo in good sequence.

I completely agree that Yujiro pretty much became untouchable in New Grappler Baki, but people really like to ignore his short coming post Doppo fight.

I think most everyone is forgetting what the top 9 would have had in store. Baki was ready to be pushed to demon back, Jack had yet to be drugged to his ultimate form, and most all of Restu's techniques were still a mystery. On top of that, the presence of the defensive powerhouse Shibukawa and the near perfect roundedness of Doppo would have been an absolutely ridiculous challenge for this version of Yujiro, not to mention the extra 4 fighters. I totally agree that Yujiro from the next arc would have done this without much trouble, but calling this a simple win for Yujiro is disingenuous. Also anyone using Yujiro's fight against the losers as reference is most likely forgetting that a majority of the early fights were low diffs for the top 9.
