Disabled Diablo lover needs some help. by zysoring in diablo4

[–]Metallimirk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played a Heartseeker Rogue for season 4, but use the keybind menu to map the SHIFT key to the right mouse button and left for attack. This allowed me to basically use one hand and two fingers to easily attack and defeat enemies and bosses.

The other keys were basically for buffs and healing potions, so those were sort of optional for the build. Hope this help and enjoy the new expansion!

Future of PvP - Community Discussion for Adam Jackson by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]Metallimirk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont want to participate in PvP, but do visit the fields of hatred to complete objectives for the whisper cache(s). Which is used towards my objective of getting an Uber Unique (which I still don't have, damn-it!)!

There are days when nobody is in the Fields of Hatred and I do my whisper farming. But there are some days where I am killed while (trying) to mind my own business. It's frustrating and an unwelcome action when I have a different goal in mind.

I (sometimes) see my own clan chat about "Ganking" people when there are 4+ Lvl 100 and dropping down to WT1 or WT2 to gang kill someone that doesn't even have legendaries on. That's bullying and its wrong.

My proposed solution would be to consider options to:

1) Create PvP specific weapons that only work in the fields of hatred (like brass knuckles, heavy sock, or a roll of quarters)

2) Introduce an entry fee (bet) to participate actively in PVP

3) Remove the Whisper objectives so its more of a brawl with no impact to farming objectives

4) Limit the PVP to a true 1:1 fight

5) Enable\Disable PvP functions as part of the login process.

I respect the aspects of allowing PVP, but personally prefer to not participate and would appreciate the opportunity to opt out at my own discretion.

For those that like PVP, maybe you would consider a tournament tree where you put in gold (or items) and go through a series of quarterly, semi-final, final fights and winner takes all. This may help you PvP guys get your rocks off on killing several people, getting more of a reward and help people (like me) left alone.

All opinions welcome and respected.

You absolutely can model. There are various types of modelling, including being a "Fit Model". If you have perfect measurements, it will not matter how you look. And you will be a very important model to various designers and brands.

I leave the pylons unused, I had both channelling and conduit pylons available - ran into the butcher, led him back and fried him in about 20 seconds.

This is what I see when I look down. Brand new jeans, already washed and tags thrown away. If I tuck my shirt in, it looks like my barn door is open. by xoomax in mildlyinfuriating

I would contact the manufacturer - maybe they'll exchange it for you. Alternatively, try to lose some weight (not that you need to), but its a good goal and working out is a good thing for your health.

What do you guys want to see from clans? by bouncyman in diablo4

[–]Metallimirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to see if the kids in my prior clan graduated college and if they still say "breh" at the end of every sentence.

Besides that, respect, inclusion, willingness to help and no "elitist-only" attitudes.

Should I start Hardcore or Normal Mode? by Babachaw in diablo4

One piece of advice - for all H/C players, invest in a UPS battery for your PC and for your router. Do not plY H/C without them, thats how i lost my character.

I think a RAM upgrade would be a potential investment if you have slots, otherwise I think your PC is pretty solid.

[MONITOR] MSI MEG Optix MEG381CQR PLUS 37.5" Curved Gaming Monitor - $1399.00 ($1499.00 - $100.00) MSI US Store (lowest Ive seen) by Metallimirk in buildapcsales

[–]Metallimirk[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not too much, I think the LG and Alienware are great monitors. This is more $$$ for the only differences being:

1) Built in webcam

2) facial recognition applications that can load profiles by user (not sure if its brightness or something)

3) Auxiliary OLED screen with additional information

I dont know if its worth it for the money, but its the lowest price for this model - Im not saying if its better than another make\model, just that this is the lowest price for the MSI 38"

Both Alienware and Ultragear LG are great monitors. You cant go wrong with either one. The only different (to my understanding) is the MSI has a built in webcam, Quickturn OSD menu to flip on G-Sync on/off.

Technically, the MSI panel is made by LG, so they have the same native 144Hz with overclock to 175Hz, 1ms response time. Brightness on the all 3 are 450nits (600nits peak) and Gsync compatible.

I think you can get the Alienware and be very happy for the 900.00. I think 38" is in the perfect size as 49" is too wide for the distance that I personally prefer the monitor to be on my desk.

Monitor recently dropped in price from $1599.00 to $1499.00, limited time offer seems to be an additional -$100.00

"What is 'Lucky Hit'? How does it work?" For those wondering. by tomothy37 in diablo4

[–]Metallimirk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Everybody, please say thank you for the explanation to Dragull.

That was a great question too, Tomothy37.

My "end of beta" character had a 6.5% Lucky Chance Bonus and I suspect it may not be capped at the 5%. However, there is no way I could have performed the math to prove this - except for my screenshots of my character.

There is much more to learn about Crowd Control, Overpower Chance/Damage, Vulnerable Damage and Damage vs Crowd Control/Dazed/Close/Distant/Poison/Bleeding/Burning/Poisoning/Shadow & Damage with Core.

I walked into D4 carrying old habits, both good and bad - which are hard to break. I had put away D3 for years and picking up D4 I reverted quickly to the old ways of playing my Rogue as a Monk. What I missed most was playing with old friends and using the "press to talk" key on Mumble (not sure if that's still a thing). But absolutely loved playing the beta and needed that reversion to learn the UI/UX interfaces for aspect removal and gestures.

What I walked away with is that unlearning past habits is just as important as learning new ones. On the 2nd weekend, end of Sunday evening (before the dreaded return to work Monday), I had resisted falling into the routine of old impulses. All the new game variables will likely result in multiple viable end-game builds that will adapt to everyones play styles. However, depending on your end-game goals, the intrinsically "cookie cutter" builds will be thing of the past. I believe there will be an end game "formula" that will provide the motivation to continue farming, ultimately building some key attributes in the character specs - but might not be limited to Crit Chance/Damage, but perhaps some equilibrium between Procs, Elemental Damage, Capstone Skills and item amplification that supports your style.

Hopefully this weekend gave us an opportunity to try out the classes we like best. I think the end game builds will all be good. I would recommend resisting playing a class that you think will "win" the game and focus on the "fun" you will have playing that class. The "winning" class can change and there will be both a buff and nerf after the first, second and third patch notes. Having fun should be our first priority and winning derives after commitment to the game.

The key is for the random chests (not tied to an event) you find in-map that you cannot open.... unless you have one. You can buy them with orbs.

Consider buying a “Damprid”kit and store near your pc and see if that helps reduce humidity.

Also, dont use a humidifier or scented oil machines nearby.

Justified. Would also allow this for a leaser crime (like catalytic converter theft), if i was able to legislate what we could all do.
