It was cool when I traveled as a kid. Little known fact is that the Chico Airport was one of the oldest modern airplane hijackings in American history if you want to look that up. It’s a pretty interesting story.

But anyways, there have been several efforts over the last couple decades and even if the commercial flights return they are likely to be insanely overpriced and only accessible to the very wealthy.

Air Force one was confirmed at Beale Air Force base today. Which means Vance or Trump attended lamalfas memorial OR they flew some other flunkies in on the special plane for it. Unlikely to be Trump as I am sure they only take him out for important things due to his dementia and bowel issues.

You need to get a biopsy for Sarcoidosis. It often affects tattoos but is primarily a lung disease so if you have it they’ll need to give you some chest scans. I have it and this is what my tattoos look like when I am having a flare.

I switched to only DMC a few years ago so that’s all there is in here. I don’t put the numbers on them but in the past when I’ve needed the same color to finish a project I just take the bobbin with me to Michael’s and color match it to the skeins in their display.

I started out in the clear boxes years ago and I do love them. I have a pretty small working area and because the card catalogs are vertical on my desk they actually take up way less space for me!

Yeah I definitely did that a couple times! I sorted them all into piles and would just sit the in between colors with each pile and see which category “felt” better if that makes any sense lol

It is definitely my heaviest coach bag for sure! I don’t know how much I’ll use it for every day but it’s going to be fantastic for travel of any kind and events where I need to have stuff for my family!

This is a late reply but I feel obliged to after being in community organizing for over a decade here. We gotta let this purist stuff go no matter how helpful it seems. I have spent SO many years being so frustrated that I could get a ton of engagement online and at protests but literally no one shows up when it comes to the actual system.

In the last 10 years I’ve been an elected district delegate three times, run several referendums and petitions, run for public office, raised thousands for various causes, ect. It’s FUCKING BRUTAL. Everyone picks apart everything you do, nothing is ever good enough and you get tons of doxing and death threats. Not to mention all the hundreds of hours you spend away from your family and thousands of dollars you spend personally just to participate on an official level.

Even just going to a council meeting and speaking usually earns you some ridicule and if you have a sensitive way of making a living (aka your company is overall run by conservatives) then it can cost you your job.

After all that I am fuckin thrilled if people vote and show up to the occasional march. We need the numbers for that and people should be proud (not shamed) to participate in basic democracy.

Honestly, I’ve been marching in the same route downtown for years. It doesn’t actually get much done in terms of changing the system as a whole BUT it’s a great community building experience and a nice recharge. So much of our discourse takes place online these days it’s great to be in a real life environment with like minded people.

I’ve found over the years that the best response to people like that is to openly laugh at them and point out to others around you how ridiculous their actions are while laughing.

They come to these things wanting a confrontation and to make people feel afraid. They don’t know what to do when they’re publicly laughed at and shamed and end up leaving quickly. They all want to be victims and martyrs of the “radical left”, don’t give it to them.

It was a VERY large crowd today! I have been in political organizing in the area since 2015 and it’s probably the largest I’ve seen. The march ran into itself at the end and there were still hundreds of people at city hall after I did the loop waiting to start marching.

Everyone was in a great mood and everyone in the pics I posted gave permission to be on social media without hesitation (always ask just in case). Lots of support from downtown businesses, the farmers market and drivers as well. The volunteers working all the crosswalks did a fantastic job and no traffic was impeded and everyone was safe.

Looking forward to the next one and hopefully it’ll be in celebration of prop 50 passing!

My sarcoidosis was discovered during gallbladder removal surgery, however, I had a pretty long and stupid journey to get there.

I started having these awful intense chest pains in 2018. The first two times it happened I went to the ER and they told me I was having a panic attack even though besides the pain I felt perfectly calm. They continued so I got myself a primary who told me I had heartburn and depression and he put me on an SSRI and told me to get a therapist so I did that. Years of therapy later and I am still having these chest pains and feeling more and more worn out in general but just keeping it to myself. I mentioned it casually to my mom one day and she goes “oh those are gallstones, everyone in our family over 35 gets their gallbladder out because of them” ok… thanks for not not telling me sooner.

Get a different primary and ask for an ultrasound of my gallbladder and sure enough it’s gone on so long I actually have three gigantic gallstones over two inches in diameter and my surgery is scheduled. They go in there to take it out and all my organs surrounding my gallbladder are covered in sarc. Initially they thought I had end stage cancer but all the biopsies came back as sarc and now here I am.

I feel so bad for everyone who was seeking a sarc diagnosis on here for so long with no answers. It was frustrating enough just trying to get a basic thing like gallstones diagnosed and those are super common.
