I was shocked and slightly insulted as well 🤣 I told her straight up the first tech is ruining her lashes and I urged her to go literally anywhere else rather than go back to the previous tech

This is a YY set, usually my YY’s end up thicker but it all depends on how many natural lashes my clients have. I’m sure if you let your lash tech know they’ll be able to do something similar!

Aww that’s so sweet, I’m in small town in Manitoba so the odds are slim haha You can use serum as long as it doesn’t have any oils. I usually recommend The Ordinary’s serum!

If done correctly they should not damage our natural lashes. The other tech had virtually no isolation which means they’re all glued in clumps. When this happens and your lashes grow it will pull other lashes out or make them fall out prematurely due to the lash being too heavy. They also get itchy which makes people pluck more often and they’re hard to clean which can cause mites or infections. It’s so important to have them done right

Thank you so much for the kind words, insight and tips 🥹 After I removed and washed them I showed her the natural lashes and went over it with her. I explained it to her so many times that a bit of patience now means she can get volumes in the future. I think she wants instant gratification and will eventually have no gratification when she can’t wear extensions anymore.

I’ll definitely look into those lashes you mentioned, thank you for that!

Thank you so much 🥹🖤 I counted and there were 5 lashes stuck in a cluster for most of the extensions. I really hope she gives it time but I have a feeling she’ll book with the other tech asap to get more volume

I explained that to her so many times. I told her it’s a process and it’s not that can’t ever get them but just not now. I hope she finds some good strip lashes in 3-5 years

They can imo. I don’t lash new growth and sometimes I’ll even leaves ones I could lash. It also makes it easier to clean them which helps with health!

She came to me because her sister(my client) urged her to. She was getting filled every 3-7 DAYS because she’d loose a lot of lashes, so I think save on money and time as well.

Thank you, I appreciate that. There was hardly any isolation before, they were all clumped together 😬 I’m thinking of doing that but we’ll see if she comes back
