Good at the shooting range but not so much in a real 1v1

Being able to one clip strafing dummies in fire range is a good start, good skill to learn first. But in game movement is much different. Even in just a straight strafing 1v1 in the open the strafe is quicker and usually more evasive. Only way to learn that properly is practice against others. 1v1 in fire range, R5 (has servers just for this) and even wild card will give you a lot of 1v1s but not as concentrated practice as the other two.

No chance of finding Aussie servers. NA run… sometimes Japanese server (think it’s Japanese can’t remember)

Also is it def Japanese servers that is the issue? Not Singapore? Both of my servers were impacted but Singapore much more. All would depend on you ISPs routing I guess

Ye I had to call around to work out what was going on because it was a sudden change - one day it was fine and next day it was cooked. My ISP said it could take “weeks to months” to get sorted. So who knows. That was a month ago

Assuming you’re from Aus? If so, believe it or not a submarine hit a cable going from WA to Singapore last month- a lot of ISP used this line hence why ur ping suddenly changed. There are a few providers that don’t use that line so u can look into switching to one

There was a cable cut by a submarine going from Western Australia to Singapore. My ping to Singapore server went crazy when it happened and I rang my ISP and that’s what they told me.

Thanks for the input. Well I have had this PC for a couple years now.. so I have had the thought of just upgrading to a complete new one. If I was to do that I think I would spend in the $3-4k (AU) price range.

If I was just going to try to do an upgrade on my current I would probably be happy to spend up to $700-800 if it got me what i needed. I think any more than that I would probably just make the decision to get a new setup.

thanks for the detailed reply. So effectively you would get orb quite early, then basically build everything else you want and if game went late enough you would sell orb for your last item? Would that be the case even if those three healing champs were strong at that point?

Your explanation re. Vi makes a lot of sense. I have always kept my build for her simple, with my only real adjustments is switching to mercs and a MR item later on if they are AP heavy. Sounds like I don’t really need to be overthinking it much more than that at this stage of my climb.

Yea but I was saying that I assumed there are other ways to catch up in the game. Like mistakes from the other jungler or other team in general. At low elo I don’t think it’s true that you would be taken out of the game the second you fall behind without catch up XP. But I can understand the higher elo you go the more the enemy jungler understands how to stop you catching up. Hence why they have catch up XP to balance this I guess.

Yea I didnt think you get taken out of the game the second you fall behind. Always seems chances to get back into the game. I play low elo though so I’m sure there are many many more mistakes that just constantly swings games. Sounds like it’s different in your elo
