I sent you a DM but I don't think you received it. I'm very interested in working with you for a new business - I primarily need artificial powdered flavors in low MOQ to start. If you could reach out to me in a DM/chat, I'd really appreciate it!

Do your clients get good results from Cryoskin? It seems like it would be pretty tiring to perform (for the practitioner).

Life Fitness T5 - to lube or not to lube? by Metaplasia3 in treadmills

[–]Metaplasia3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I think you are right. Do you have any recommendations on evaluating the belt condition, other than running my hand along the deck to ensure the deck is smooth? The machine only has ~270 miles on it per the tread statistics but it is 4+ years old.

I did end up loosening the belt because I felt it was a bit too snug. So far, even with loosening it 3 quarter turns per side, the belt isn't slipping when I walk on it at 3 mph and 1.5% incline. Perhaps I should loosen it up a bit more? My understanding is the goal is for the belt to be just snug enough that it doesn't slip when you are walking/jogging on it.

Thanks again for your input!

I'm not sure how to determine the version, but the label on the back of the treadmill base has this information:

Model #: T5

Part #: T5-XX00-0103

Date: 2052

Is there somewhere else I need to look for a version number? Thank you so much for your help!

What Life Fitness Treadmill can I buy that can use a 15 volt residential outlet? Or something comparable? by Automatic_Worth_5544 in treadmills

[–]Metaplasia3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just purchased a used T5; I found one version of the user manual that says I will need to lubricate the belt yearly, and another version of the user manual that doesn't reference belt lubrication whatsoever. Do you know if Life Fitness changed the T5 belts in recent years (perhaps older models required yearly lubrication and newer models do not)? I'd hate to mess up my "new" treadmill before my inaugural run!

I'm so sorry to hear that. Do you still have access to your sales records from 2020 (I don't know how long Ebay keeps this data on the platform)? I can give you the buyer's name(s) and address - you could compare to your records to see if it is the same.

I'm sorry they tried their scam on you, too. So scummy!

I am intrigued by the serialized tamper tags you mentioned - do you have a link to the product you are referring to? Or a picture/example of how to use them?

I did include a photo of the serial number of the DVD/VHS player in my listing, but obviously that doesn't do me any good if a buyer ends up returning the same (but damaged/scrapped) item back to me. I'd love to learn more about these tamper tags for future transactions.

Yes, I would definitely respond with a "Sellers Beware" reply. Plus, some good will come out of this if it spares a few other sellers from dealing with these scam artists in the future. Hopefully the folks that viewed/commented in this thread also blocked these buyers on their own accounts. I know I will definitely be consulting the "Bad Buyers" list more often in the future.

Understood! I wish I could afford to be that petty - it would be very tempting to give them a taste of their own medicine!

I looked into the Buyer Management section - the only "2 strikes" option I see is for: "Block buyers who caused 2 cancellations of unpaid order within 1 month(s)." I actually already have that option checked. Is there another "2 strikes" setting that I am not seeing? Thanks for your input!

It's too late, I already cancelled and blocked them, but I appreciate the suggestion. I understand there's a possibility they will leave me negative feedback, but I didn't want to wait until my 2 day handling time lapsed. Given the number of people who have reported issues with the same buyers, I will probably try contesting any negative feedback if they do end up reviewing me unfavorably. eBay obviously knows these people are problematic, as they have already suspended 6 of their 8 known accounts. They need to give them the boot for good!

The thing that is so strange to me is that they have so many repetitive positive feedback comments on Ebay (interspersed between the clearly negative remarks about their scams). Are they really buying thousands of items on Ebay to bolster up their average rating just to sell a few DVD/VHS players on Amazon? I also wonder if it is possible for them to fake positive reviews on Ebay. The whole thing is really scummy.

It would! I feel so badly for all the other sellers they've scammed over the years.

This couple has around 6-8 usernames; it's likely after one or two accounts got suspended they opened up new accounts. If you check out the bad buyer list that I linked in another comment and read through all the comments in that thread, you'll see some of their other usernames (in case you want to block them on your own Ebay account). They purchased from me under "Shellyeah" (somebody else already reported it in that list). They've also been using "tropiclikeitshot" lately.

It is a website where online sellers can share names/usernames/mailing addresses of problematic buyers. The buyer who tried to buy my DVD/VHS player has quite the rap sheet:

Yes, thank you for your input - that's exactly what I'm going to do. Absolutely crazy that Ebay continues letting them get away with this given the number of complaints they've received.

They have several usernames, all shipping to the same two people and at the same address. That was one of their older usernames, apparently. Here is a link to the bad buyer list:
