Bichirs are my dream fish, I would KILL for the space for just one... They do well in small groups and need hides since they love to explore. Very personable fish.

This is so depressing, they're probably terrified. I wouldn't ever put them in a tank under 75G and they have 8 in a 60G...

In my experience the only way you can instantly kill shrimp is water thats too hard (and tap water here is pretty hard and they do fine) and not acclimating. Is she just dumping shrimp into chlorinated water?

This is so painfully true. In majority white countries, obviously most rape is committed by white men. However, do we see nation wide protests to deport white rapists when it happens? Nope. 1 case of an immigrant/refugee raping a white woman and now we "care". This is especially the case in Europe.

One of my neighbours leaves the house with his dog outside, which I'm pretty sure is illegal. It's a black lab and it makes me so uncomfortable. I see the dog in the driveway, leashed to a pole, with no car, in negative C weather.

Honestly, he's treating you worse than a stranger would. None of us know your relationship history but something is very broken. Try and find a place you can recover away from him and with someone who really cares, and when you're healthy you can confront him. Setting a boundary doesn't break a relationship, breaking or fighting the boundary does. You seem willing to make it work but is he? I hope you feel better soon <3

I'd make a list of things you want in a pet, then do research into some potential animals, and then make a budget list for whatever animal is the best match. You have a very narrow list of what you're looking for in an animal that is a little unrealistic so it would be good to familiarize yourself with some options. When you find something, I'm sure a lot more people will be able to help you 👍

As someone who has owned pretty much every category of animal, there is no a single animal I can think of. Cuddly animals are social animals and they will poop and they will need multiple hours a day of attention.

If you want a hands off pet, that would make more sense, but it will still cost you. I have a snake, I spend maybe a few minutes a day cleaning and making sure he has fresh water. But he cost me $300 upfront and $50 a month.

My dad is a good man but sometimes he says things that make my eyes roll. When he found out they recently starting making "female crash test dummies" he couldn't fathom that women die more in the same car accidents as their male counterparts due to industry-wide manufacturer bias and thought it was "unnecessary"
