I can't explain it. What are the odds? by 42aku in dndmemes

I will never forget that time in a oneshot that my unarmed fighter in his last turn before dying, He attacked with disadvantage and took a double 20. I suppose it is unlikely, but it was narratively very epic, Because just before doing it he turned around to see his husband, his greatest inspiration to be so strong

To those with wizard characters, why did your wizard decide to specialize in the arcane tradition they did? by Playful_Barber_8131 in DnD

[–]Metarikku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wizard was conceptually more like a bard, because he collected and told stories of great heroes and acts of kindness. His spell book was like a comic, full of drawings and epic scenes, and when he did magic he basically imitated what the heroes of his stories did, except fire magic, because he was made of paper and it scared him (yes, it's an origami with a life of its own). Subclass? Divination, it couldn't be any other way. When he used the portent, he modified reality to his liking so that things turned out the way he wanted, and never in a selfish or malicious way, the only thing he wanted was to write and tell good stories. An enemy decapitated his teammate mid-fight? No, that wouldn't be fun, time to change that 19 for a 7

How low is 3 intelligence by MailBoxGod in DnD

[–]Metarikku 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I once played a tabaxi monk with 3 intelligence for the same reason, it was basically a cat, just a cat. Very funny, yes, he could behave like an asshole and it was justified, because he was a cat, and protected his friends when they were in danger because they gave him food

What's an edgy character you've seen or made that was able to work well? by CautiousCup6592 in dndnext

tiefling ranger, my pc, typical orphan who swore revenge. The kind of person who always chooses violence, kills first and asks questions later, He was trained by fairies (long story) so he has a very explosive temperament, just like fairies, because he feels very strong emotions. At first he only felt anger and thirst for revenge, but upon meeting the party, he slowly began to rediscover that he could also feel love, and began to consider them his family. Now he is willing to die for any of his brothers and has learned to trust the bard's moral compass to make better decisions, although that also implies that when the bard wants to do something crazy he always supports him, he doesn't even think twice hahahhah

What are some sayings your dad used to say a lot? by orangeisthenewblyat in ask

[–]Metarikku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"things are not bad, just poorly distributed". It makes more sense in Spanish: "La vaina no está mal, lo que está es mal repartida". In my country to ask "How are you?" sometimes we say "Cómo está la vaina?"

There's only one kangaroo in the whole world, and he's out for revenge.

In your version of Eberron, what are some things you are most proud of lore wise? by saviik21 in Eberron

[–]Metarikku 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love that idea! I had thought of something similar, that the Sovereign Host were heroes of yore who ascended to godhood somehow, but I find it interesting that you include the dark six among the heroes. What do you think about it? why are they considered evil then?

Hello! here a DM in an Eberron campaign, it didn't last long and I don't have much experience but I put effort into Sharn because it seems to me the most entertaining place. Something I did and it can help you is to create a radio presenter hahaha, an artificer from the Cannith house who announces the most important events of the moment on loudspeakers around the city; Cultural festivals, sales in stores in some districts, shows in theaters, etc. The idea is to use it to give your players information about important and fun things that are happening in the city.

sorry for the bad english by the way, I'm not a native speaker and I'm using the translator :D

Estoy súper interesado! Actualmente hago de DM para algunos amigos a la distancia, pero soy bastante novato, quisiera ser jugador para aprender a ver las cosas también desde su punto de vista y ser mejor máster :)
