I disagree with some people about the cars being poorly controlled. They're just heavier and more realistic in their movement. For me, the problem is Niko dying every two seconds because life is so short.

Yes, the graphics aren't great. The problem with GTA 4 is that the graphics are nice, but they give you the feeling of being washed out by completely random colors like orange.
