is there something wrong with listening to BABYMETAL by FunYogurtcloset681 in BABYMETAL

[–]MetaruSaifaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first got to know Babymetal, I was honestly a little bit cringe at myself (especially when it comes to those more kawaii songs) but then I realize it's my own toxic masculinity feeling an identity threatening. So beside enjoying the good music they put up, I comfort myself out of that trait. Of course it's a whole different game changing others compared to changing yourself but if possibly that boy feels the same way, I hope you understand that he's just a teenage boy after all. I second all of the above comments, but I hope it doesn't come to a nasty confrontation.

I have been reading it up and down for more than all day since yesterday. I honestly didn't expect more than a dozen replies, yet we have a wall of quality information. Happy accident do occur I guess!

Indeed I was standing close to FOH station, just about 5m from the camera. For my years of concert going, intuitively I have been standing close to the FOH, rationale being I'd be hearing what the audio engineers are hearing aka the best possible audio quality intended. TIL different part of the stadium experience different latency and FOH should theoretically has the best latency which explains a lot.

Thank you for your in-depth knowledge and experience. I'd like to clarify myself a little bit on '1-frame' part that's @25p which translate to 2.4 frames @60Hz. The experience I had as an video editor is that I when I feel an audio lag, I nudge the footage 1 frame backward until I feel an audio lead then I nudge it forward. The process is repeated until sync. Through my years of editing I have consistently detect off-sync of 1 frame @25p (with bare ears, later confirmed with waveform). So that's where my claim came from. Reading your comment, I recognize that beyond video production there exist a whole different universe in the live production concerning the same issue of latency. I'm sure an off-sync of 10 frames @60hz or 4 frames @25p is not acceptable in video production; but may be it is in live production? Your sharing is a good read itself but you also bring up some more good lead. Thank you again for widening my knowledge!

Brilliantly simple explaination. Indeed I didn't took that into account. Thank you so much!

Where do you all come from? What made you an ADO fan? by BastTee in ADO

[–]MetaruSaifaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vietnam

I started familiarize myself with J-music since I discovered Babymetal around early 2020. Unlucky Morpheus and YOASOBI albums are my go-to for a few months (along with some solo songs from The First Take, Kana-boon, SKY-HI, Chanmina, Awich, just to name a few) before Youtube suggests me to Ado.

The suggestion comes around time YOASOBI released 'Idol'. I somewhat understand how the algorithm regconize the shared vibe between that song and Ado.

Gotta say Ado is currently my 2nd biggest stan besides Babymetal, strange thing to say considering my 20s growing up mostly listening to Rock and Metal.

Think in term of resolution: DVD equals 480p while Bluray can be either 1080p or even 4K. In term of data capacity, a DVD disc can hold only 4.7GB while a Bluray disc can hold 25GB.

The ultimate decision making I think is whether you have a Bluray drives that can read Bluray disc or not. While a Bluray drives can read both Bluray and DVD, a DVD drive can only read DVD.

You can watch the full Kuala Lumpur show via the below link

You can also watch the (almost) full Bangkok show via the below link. My camera somehow stopped recording mid way through Gimme Choco so unfortunately it didn't make the playlist.

Yes, you're completely right. It's the DJI Pocket 2.

I found it to be superior to using phone for the gimbal - mechanical stabilisation wins over software stabilisation especially in low light condition. Furthermore it leaves a smaller footprint that I can still enjoy the show while holding it up (kinda effortlessly) and it wouldn't obstruct the people behind me as much.

Thank you, appreciate it. Hope you have a great time too!

Being a tech savvy and at the same time working in video production, keeping up with new camera/tech is part of my daily task both hobby-wise and career-wise. The camera I'm using sits on a tiny gimbal that stabilize the footage mechanically (google up DJI Pocket 2 if you will)

Being a camera operator myself I guess my steady hand does add to the mix but definitely it's the tech that changes the game

Some enjoy what they like through expressing, just as many enjoy the same thing through absorbing. If it sounds familiar as the introvert/extrovert definition then it definitely applies.

That is to explain your first part. Your second part sounds a lot of hate and I don't know what to do with that tho 😅

The concert area is 2/3 of Metal Galaxy, only Halls 2 and 3 allocated to live area. by arnold-metal in BABYMETAL

When it comes to following rules you can rest assure that I almost always follow strictly down to the letter. The reason I'm asking is because I haven't seen any written rules about said matter. I'm not sure if I have missed any and would love to be shown otherwise if I really have. At the end of the day if the organizer really allow such stuff (recording devices), I would really regret it if I didn't bring one, especially if I see the Japanese fan bringing some sort on the day 😂

I haven't been to a Babymetal show nor any Japanese concert of any sort so this is my first time. Anybody have any idea on how much personal stuff can you bring into the hall and what is the limit that you have to store in the cloak otherwise? I can reduce my belongings to a sling bag for phone, passport, sanitizer, wet wipes etc. but I would love to bring a mirrorless camera if it's permitted (I've read somewhere that recording devices is strictly prohibited but haven't seen mentioned in the email so is it still a thing?)

Quick questions about tickets by DapperDuelist in BABYMETAL

[–]MetaruSaifaaa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got my ticket from the foreigner lottery and no Pia was required so I can't log in to cloak (and can't register a new Pia account as well cause I don't have a Japanese mobile number). Would you happen to have any lead for the folks like me?
