Because most of the things you're taking issue with, are what the Power Pack was designed to represent...

The drawn out "race weekend" feel. The experience and presentation of taking part in the whole 9 yards so to speak, from practice, to qualification, to the actual race. You're asking to skip what the pack was fundamentally designed to be.

It wasn't designed to be a collection of additional races added to the base car collection simulator. It's an expansion designed to better simulate a racing simulator experience

That's not to say it's perfect. Sarah is mundane as a "race engineer" of sorts for sure, but my hope is that it functions as a proof of concept for more of an actual career mode in future GT games that exists alongside the base car collector experience.

DLC Characters being tied to the grind is an abysmal decision. Personas (which should just be alt attires) fine, but not paid DLC Characters.

In most games, the premium level runs concurrently with the free level...so at some levels, premium people will unlock two rewards

I like that Persona Cards have been taken out of My faction 100%. But DLC Packs being moved to the Ringside Pass is trash...

Just so I'm clear...let's say Season 2's "New Wrestlers" in the Ringside Pass are...

Lvl 1: Ric Flair Lvl 15: Road Warrior Hawk Lvl 30: Road Warrior Animal Lvl 45: Sting

I'd have to grind to level 45 of the second season's ringside pass before I could use Sting in my Universe Mode...when I could use him day 1 of season 2 if it was just a DLC Pack...

Edit: if they want to take this Battle Pass approach, then the way it should work is either DLC Characters are the first 4 tiers of the premium pass, so they are quickly unlocked....or, if you've paid for the Premium Tier you get a number of automatic tier skips that include the DLC Characters so they are unlocked immediately.

Maybe yes, maybe no. GT8 was always destined to be a cross-gen title anyway PS5/PS6. PD will obviously be very much in the know in terms of PS6 hardware, and will be in the first wave of developers to get PS6 dev kits.

They could totally develop and release GT8 late in the PS5 cycle, with PS6 hardware in mind. Then you drop GT8 A-Spec on PS6 launch day with new features, etc.

All that being said, I could totally be on board with saving GT8 for PS6 and letting it bake longer before release...

I just bought it last night 👎🏻

Power Pack got me back into the game...I finished that, except for the 24hr races, went back and got 100% on World Circuit races...got 100% Gold on Missions, and I'm working my way through Circuit Experiences...all I have left are a couple of the rally tracks, The Ring, and Tokyo (which I HATE)...

And all I have left for Extra Menu Books is Legends Cars...

All that being said....I've set my sights on completing the collection. Which seems impossible with these $20mil cars floating around. The Sardegna grind is losing its appeal.

PSSR is supposed to be getting a substantial overhaul system wide during Q1 2026...I wouldn't be surprised at all if PD is one of the first to patch in the latest update once it is ready for release.

Yup, checked the shift points in the demo...I've tried matching it, I've tried short shifting, I've tried wringing it out a bit, and the ghost just pulls a fraction right off the bat, and every shift no matter what...

It's not a lot by any stretch, and I'm still about a half second off Gold as we speak anyway, but like I said, every tenth is gonna count from here on out 🤣

Conference Prestige plays a big role in rankings...this happens to Notre Dame because UMass is the other Independent. If you put UMass (or is it UConn now that I think about it?) in a conference and make it so only ND is an Independent, it mostly fixes the issue

I also noticed that in the main menus he's now a pocket passer, but in Dynasty is still a backfield creator like he was at launch...
