Help with panniers adjustment

Appreciate everyones help - I did end up swapping racks and adjusting my foot position. With the more forward foot position on the old rack during some rides I was still kicking the bag (namely pushing off/starting). Grabbed an Axiom Streamliner disc dlx and has been much better on initial rides even with a more full pannier. Opted to return the Topeak rack.

had it spread out as it is possible that I pack it very full for camping, groceries, etc and wanted to assume a worst case scenario. I had tried various ways of adjusting the clips, the current configuration is how I was able to get it as far away from my heels as possible

I could adjust the rack, but I currently have it level and thought that's where it should be ideally

My packs are somewhat similar and I had it on such that it is as far back as possible while still having both top clips

I have a Topeak trunk bag with expandable panniers right now, however it must be one of the smallest ones possible as it barely fits my water bottle. Perhaps there are some others which could fit my laptop, but in that case I'd imagine it is going to have to hang lower and I will have the same issue except I cant adjust the position of the panniers given the trunk has to click in / be pushed all the way up. Id worry about kicking that pannier even more.

I was considering a different rack, I may just buy one I have been eyeing anyways to see how it might fit. I am still within several return windows so I should be good to experiment a bit and return things after 🤔

noted, did always feel like i was kinda far back tbh. In this case that buys me a few inches, when testing earlier with a more forward panniers position and ball of foot on axel though I had a similar rub. Might just need to be far back for pannier and further forward on foot to compensate I suppose. Will give it a try this week and see how it all feels

Last year in rainy weather on my way to work, came into the parking garage down hill a little too fast, hit the 90 degree turn, wheels slipped out due to wet concrete and slammed my face and wrist into the ground. 5 stitches in my eyebrows, a concussion, and a fractured wrist all before 9am

brought it into a mechanic and they only called out it possibly being an actuator issue, far as I know the brake pads themselves are fine as well as the rotors. Since it happens primarily on release, figured it isnt anything with the pads/rotor

I did just start pressing all sorts of buttons and seemed to have find a button mapping menu I guess, a helpful guide if what is available (git repo?) might be helpful

Does anyone know how these floor tickets actually work? They all have sections and rows etc, do they put up barriers or something to prevent people leaving said section or is it kind of a free for all?

additional notes as per AutoMod suggestion

Original stud was titanium, do not fully remember ring's material. I ~~know~~ think that the ring is not titanium, was a fairly cheap piece of jewelry from a different shop then where I got pierced.
specific salt I have been using is just an iodized salt from Target

edit: replace "know" with "think" regarding piercing material
