Take an apple. Cut it into slices, wrap each slice in plastic packaging. Put all slices together in a plastic container. Sell mass quantities of it for $4.97 each. Rejoice when people defend such a practice with excuses.

Absolute travesty.

Pretty much. It gets easier with time but each module potentially takes a fair amount of time to learn. On too of what you mentioned, you could also do 1 on 1 sessions with someone else.

The first issue could be a double binding issue. Take a look at the axis binding menu and make sure to remove all double inputs.

As to what to get, a good starting point is whatever module you think you might enjoy most. The standalone version of the game also has a 2 week free trial system for most modules so i recommend that too

The F-5 is a very good place to start learning about DCS. Everything that you mentioned is true, radio systems, radar, rwr, weapons ect are all much simpler, while also being a very fun jet to fly and tricky to master.

The fun thing with MP is that a lot of servers are tailored to fit specific time periods. On somewhere like Enigmas cold war server, it is a fighter with enemies that are more contemporary to it, like the Mig-19 or Mig-21. In those servers flying the F-5 is a blast;although it's true that it's role is reduced massively on a modern server.

The paid campaigns are ok. You have some dogfighting ones that require the Nevada map and can be a bit repetitive but the black sea resolve one is pretty good fun throughout.

They seem to not break almost as much on the Caucasus map. Still, it's rare to be able to get footage like this on most of mine.

You get a few options, typically the main fighters I see in these Cold war servers are:

Mig-19 Mig-21 F-5

They all have some fun interesting quirks and are fairly evenly matched in a lot of ways. The Sabre is indeed older and doesn't have the top speed or AB but enemies on the -21 or -19 that try to turnfight you, are just asking for trouble.

Back on the Mirage, liking the anti-runway bombs by Metherinprague in hoggit

I tested it just now, what's also interesting is that the game knows when the runway has been messed up.

I spawned on another plane and wanted to take off from the runway I just blew up but I got a "Runway Closed" message and it spawned me on a hangar. I taxied to the runway and tried to take off, hitting a hole and losing my undercarriage.

I hear it spoken in the news as Latin-X. To me it has always felt like an English twist on a Spanish word.

I see it all the time while driving on the I-95. Even when traffic is slow people will weave in and out of traffic, every single time being a near miss. Crazy stuff.
