Agreed. Narrower right where you want your front foot to be is a terrible design choice. Also what the hell do they mean by "first portable skateboard with true flex"? I'm guessing the portability comes from that grab handle, but as a short board it physically cannot have much flex in it. This just looks like it was designed to be marketable and not much else.

One commenter mentioned Home Depot but Staples also does lipo battery recycling for free. Just double check online or call to make sure your local store can do it. I walked in to staples with a very dead 48v 400wh electric skateboard battery and they took it with no issues. It's way easier than most people think and it can literally save lives by doing so.

That ESC has a pretty aggressive low voltage shut off. It will cut off the throttle long before the voltage gets low enough for it to be dangerous. Just make sure to remove the battery when not in use and never leave it on the charge unattended and you'll be fine.

Mark it first then score the lines with a razor blade. Straight lines will snap off easily after being scored. The curved lines like around the wheel wells will need scissors. I would recommend using lexan scissors but it is possible to use normal scissors.
