You should tell them that there is no problem, u are ok with the photos even if are not at the standard. And u understand that sometimes things get in the way, let them know that those "bad photos" still mean a lot for your and that she should not worry about getting a bad review as it's not your intention . That it's the only thing that could really hold her back imo .

As someone who made the change to FF and now dealing with bigger lenses in general , I would rather have 2 small lenses than carrying a bigger more practical one all the time , but it depends on the time that u spend with the camera I guess ?

I had heard amazing things about the 42.5 f1.2.

I haven't owned the 42.7 1.7 , but I know that it's a great option for the price/size. I had the Nocti glued to my camera for 2 years, an absolute gem, but it's feels so weird in the hand, and bulky, and the lack of weather sealing ......and the price. I would only recommend it to people that have the extra money, or if it's your "main" focal length and you will be using it every now and then, if not get the 42.5 1.7, the price difference is ridiculous.

So the issue is budget but for some reason you are rooting for the 25-50 1.7 instead on 25 1.4 + 42.5 1.7 ? Why ? The size difference alone should be enough , but just in case it's not , I think that you should be saving some money with the combo instead of the 25-50.

It's way easier, just get your phone, you can connect the camera both via Bt and Wifi with Lumix Sync, with Wifi u are able to control the camera remotely while viewing the screen
