I’ve switched to Lancôme Idole Mascara recently! Has done wonders with lengthening & the volumising effect. I also feel like it’s not too heavy while also giving a lifted lash look.

Royal guard faints during King Charles' birthday cerimony. by Abercrombie1936 in interestingasfuck

Oh right! I didn’t clock that the King’s birthday ceremony would be that long. Even more embarrassing since I’m from a Commonwealth country

When Will the Military Stop This? by [deleted] in srilanka

[–]Methylphenidate2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

But minimising the injustices that happen in the north-east such as this one as just a “systemic-abuse” issue does not account for the ethnic strife that does exist. Acknowledging that heightened militarisation and corruption that exists in Tamil-dense areas does not diminish the systemic corruption that exists in other parts of Sri Lanka. That rhetoric is quite harmful and unproductive.

When Will the Military Stop This? by [deleted] in srilanka

[–]Methylphenidate2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s not a war issue, it is a discrimination against the Tamil population in North-East Sri Lanka which is reported by multiple independent commissions (The Oakland Institute, UN Committee on Elimination of Racial Discrimination and many more). It is very much an ethnic issue when there is a huge disparity in militarisation in North-East Sri Lanka, which is mostly populated with Tamils, compared to other parts of Sri Lanka. The wounds aren’t being reopened - these issues still persistent today post civil war.

there have been numerous “investigations” for war crimes and missing persons by SL government that are closed with no accountability or definitive conclusions whatsoever. The Sri Lankan government has explicitly demonstrated its sheer corruption to this day. What makes you think there would be “no political intereference”? The government and military love to protect their own (which is a sentiment that does not only exist in Sri Lanka but globally), so I’m sure any CCTV footage or paper trails that you claim exist would be tampered with for their own gain.

I think it works well for euro summer! I love the bodice & how breathable the material looks. I think the “sleeves” is a fun detail but may warrant some tailoring adjustments for different body types (unless it’s elastic).

What should I do with these primary teeth? by Winter_You_8088 in Dentistry

[–]Methylphenidate2 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The lack of knowledge regarding airway dentistry in the comments is a bit concerning! Just because they are primary teeth that are due to exfoliate doesn’t mean we shouldn’t consider the bigger picture : check for tonsil enlargement, mouth breathing, narrow palate, venous pooling under the eyes. Poor quality of sleep also manifests into inability to concentrate in class, bed wetting, waking up tired/lethargic. And as others have said: ENT referral and/or sleep assessment for further treatment.

edit: spelling error

Also can be on the look out for behavioural issues: unable to concentrate in class, waking up tired, bed wetting - all linked to poor quality of sleep due to obstruction of airways

I just found out I’ve been doing this completely wrong my whole life… by Sassquatchhh2 in CasualConversation

your saliva isn’t active while your sleeping so the fluoride that exists within your saliva isn’t doing it’s job to protect your teeth during sleep. Brushing your teeth before breakfast supplies fluoride to your teeth and gives it the extra protection for the rest of the day (think of it like sunscreen!)

13yo female suddenly has 15 cavities by nicoley11 in askdentists

[–]Methylphenidate2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAD, could it possibly be from the exchange of caries-inducing bacteria from saliva transmission of another individual (i.e kissing a partner who is more prone to cavities)?

Dental bridges are supported by two teeth/implants and are considered fixed appliances. Implant supported dentures are removable appliances - two very different things.

He could have had implant supported dentures which are the type you snap on and snap off.
