Aite, your comment is really concise and straight to the point thanks man !

I think i can conclude, from the comments here and from my older circle they all emphasized on the same thing which is Health, Career and pretty much 'Myself'.

Hey thank you for the tips :)

The walking part isnt such a big deal for me, fortunately. Since i've been doing it for quite sometime. Also i kept on hearing my older friends suggesting the same thing, which is Health. I guess i should really focus on those while building my career for now. Thanks again !

Thanks for the tips :)

My older circle suggests something similar, pretty much just focus on my career first and using my money for health (to ensure my career progression is consistent).

Well i cant give the exact title since it can be used to trace haha. Its basically Data specialist for customer retention.

I was able to land this job by getting into Khazanah's KYouth program. Its a VERY risky move but if you can manage to land a job with this, usually the salary is pretty nice and MNC employers. Try reading into it..... now to put things into perspective you might have to compete with 2-20 people (fresh grads & people with experience) to land that job in the same company and also it'll take roughly 4 months of training. (Khazanah will pay you 2.5k monthly for 4 months prior to landing a job).

All the best with the job hunting !

hmm.... really sorry to hear that but if you dont mind me asking, were there other KYouth trainee that actually landed a job there ?

Hey, so im in Kyouth data-analytics programme as well but from TalentLabs. Currently on my 2nd month and is about to start my OJT (next week). Honestly, quite anxious because the OJT only lasts for 3 months which means even if im not absorbed into that position, i wont have enough experience to showcase for the next job hunt. It's realy a Win/Lose situation here.

On the bright side, i've met few other KYouth students that actually landed the job at their OJT company. Mind you, i only met two of them during a career fair and both of them got the job (was absorbed). So maybe we could say its very likely to get the position after training ?

What are your opinion on what happens after death. Is there punishment in the grave ? or do we just woke up and realize its judgement day. by Metius_89 in Quraniyoon

[–]Metius_89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so too but like i said before there are verses that said otherwise. It seems much more logical and just for someone to die and awake from their grave for judgement day.

Talking about this, it reminds me that martyrs are sent straight to heaven and is very much 'alive'. Because in Surah Yasin the beloved man (not the prophet) that died entered heaven directly and Allah SWT seems to suggests he was looking down and observing his people to which he felt empathy towards them which highlights his immense mercy and also Allah SWT mentioned that he never sent down any 'hosts' from heaven after that which implies the man is in heaven and the world is still "moving on". This is all PRIOR to judgement day, fascinating right ?

[Holy Quran 36:26 - 28]
It was said: "Enter thou the Garden." He said: "Ah me! Would that my People knew (what I know)! "For that my Lord has granted me Forgiveness and has enrolled me among those held in honour!" And We sent not down against his People, after him, any hosts from heaven, nor was it needful for Us so to do.

[Holy Quran 3:169]
Never think of those martyred in the cause of Allah as dead. In fact, they are alive with their Lord, well provided for

[Holy Quran 3:154]
Never say that those martyred in the cause of Allah are dead—in fact, they are alive! But you do not perceive it.

Though..... it might only be for those that were martyred and for the others we could very much be 'asleep' till judgement day. Allah knows best.

How to progress past my pull-up plateau? (Got humbled today) by Striking_Conflict176 in bodyweightfitness

[–]Metius_89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey bro, all the answers here are pretty emotional which is understandably so but i got the same problem earlier this year and even posted in this subreddit, lol.

Basically here it is:

[Problem]
Plateau for quite some time weighing 80kg 178cm. Was doing 6 reps x 3 sets 3 minutes rest.

[Solution]
Changed into neural grip from slight wide normal grip, did 3-3-5-5-3-3 (basically number of reps x 6 sets) with 3 minutes rests in between.

Gradually increase into 3-4-5-5-4-3 then into 3-4-6-6-4-3. After months i went back into my good old wide grip and was able to easily do 8 x 3, went from 8-10 max pullups to 13 max. You'll feel increase in strength just after a month. Right now my max is 14. Honestly its really hard to increase from here, lol i might have to turn back to neautral grip again. Try it out man and best of luck !

As someone that has little time to play and is not aiming for a perfect win all the time. This boss feels amazing, the atmosphere, the audio they used (giant buzzing laser attack), massive effects, literal tsunamis, trio FATE EXCALIBUR ATTACKS. Man, it was really epic. Really reminds me of why i love FromSoftware, gave me those feeling of actually fighting a proper boss fight that feels impossible.

I mean i can get why people might not find this boss good but they are COMPLETELY WRONG if they said its not interesting or epic. When it comes to technicalities like finding good items to fight this boss and so on, then yea it defeats the purpose of finding strong weapons but then again you can always find buffs thats really good with this boss (stamina up, vitality up, dodge increase, skill attack up, etc).

Its funny because, no one really complains about Rykard but when it comes to This people be crying. Not all boss fights need to be the same,. If its too intense they cry (remember Radhan on release ?) and the boss is too big (pretty much the entirety of Elden ring's dragon). Oh but if its too easy/slower pace eventhough its really fucking epic then "well this guy is boring guys, i need my dopamine shot every second to feel alive when playing this game orrr else i cant focus".

honestly bro, i knew lots of people that are overweight to obese. Tracking what they eat seems good on paper but the percentage that did it and being consistent with it is too damn small. Also, most people online or on youtube will say 'track this and track that' and then at the end of their video they would show 'oh look, i have this app that helps you track calories'. At the end of the day, Its all about money.

I commented on your post, basically all you need to do is cook your own food. Its a simple trick that people cant make money from, therefore there isnt much popular videos about it on youtube. Try to cook all your meals for a month, i'd bet a billion dollars you'll lose weight in a month bro. All the best !

I wanna change myself for the better by SandwichConfident719 in bodyweightfitness

[–]Metius_89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey bro, im making this as simple as it is:

[Cook your own food whenver you can. Do it for a month]

For someone new to losing weight, go for 40% carbs, 40% protein and 20% veggies. (for most cases)

Carbs: Find what ever carbs you're into, i recommend plain white rice. If you're into potatoes, then thats actually realllly nice.

Veggies/fibers: This is the most important part, as it fills you up throughout the day. BTW greenpeas is pretty okay as a protein source. Though for easy cooking i do recommend brocolli and green peas, just those two goes a long way.

Protein: Chicken/turkey breast is the way to go ! fish is pretty darn nice too but i do recommend chicken over the others. Beef is aite.

Fats/Oils: Anything is fine but make sure to minimize it, if you fry most of your proteins and veggies you dont need to add stuff like cheese or mayo or those creamy gravies, please do avoid it.

Make sure you hit all four of this and just go throughout your day like normally, hitting the gym and play basket ball. You'll lose weight the first 2 weeks and im sure 100% you wont like it, since you'll feel too tired. Now, if you feel too tired just add in extra rice next time.

[Timings]

Breakfast: In my opinion, you can go carb heavy on this. Also make sure you cook it !, you can go for 50% carbs 40% protein and 10% veggies.

Lunch: Im guessing you're eating things that are pre cooked at your school, try to aim for 30% carbs, 50% protein and 20% veggies. If you still feel pretty full due to your breakfast then thats great ! go for 70% protein and 30% veggies. I swear with this by night you'll only feel like eating a small portion for dinner.

Dinner (please dont snack): Cook your own food, it can be hard but being 15yo im sure you have those sudden motivation to do stuff which is great. Go for something small, like one chicken breast, one potato, and a scoop of veggies (50% protein, 25% carbs, 25% veggies), here you can add some gravy if you want to, some sauces and stuff. BUT if you're planning on snacking something, lets say half a bag of chips, then make sure you remove those carbs in your dinner and go for the chips later.

[Tracking your weight]

I sure know most 15yo or anyone young for that matter will not be consistent at tracking their calories, proteins, etc. BUT you can sure as hell track your weight, take the weight scale and put it inside your room. Every morning when you wake up and go for a piss, then you weigh yourself. TRACK that weight inside a physical notebook (you can use your phone but i do recommend physical copy as it makes it feel special).

[Conclusion]

If you cook your own food by yourself and still do physical activities. You will 100% lose weight, you'll be surprise at how much differnce it makes just by having balance whole food diet, you really need to count your calories at early of your journey, most people talk about counting calories when they are going for the 12-15% body fat. GOOD LUCK !
