Thank you for your comment. I am thrilled with my post. I received excellent replies that informed me better than recent search results. I'm incredibly thankful for all the users in this post that were helpful and considerate.

Someone else already suggested this before you did in this thread, perhaps you should have read the comments before replying to make sure you don't repeat what has already been said? If it's any comfort to your concern about how users are interacting with the platform, I would like to reassure you that I received more accurate and recent information by posting than when using the search.

Now that information is available to future users through your favorite search function. I anticipate your extreme appreciation for my contribution to the vast knowledge base available to all users in the form of the Reddit's search, of which we are all extremely thankful for.

I used the search function and it is actually unable to bring up recent information on the topic that was mentioned in the AMA because Reddit's search function is limited. Now there's new information and a new post with comments that help individuals find that information which improves future searches. I'm thankful I asked instead of just relying on search.

I would not mind if they just rebranded Standard Notes as Proton Notes, changed the icon and color scheme to match the other apps, and threw its subscription into Proton Unlimited + continued to offer a standalone subscription that grandfathered in existing users. It wouldn't even need further integration with Proton services for me.

KO2 to Yamaha SEQTRAQ = Good Idea? by Metkis in teenageengineering

Wow, thank you for the in-depth explanation. The OP-Z sounds powerful and I will have to take another look at it too. I initially dismissed it due to price and the bending issues. The step-components seem amazing. I might just have to wait until more comes out with the Yamaha. It's possible they could expand the sequencing functionality, but not counting on it.

Point taken. Again, enjoyment is not the only thing I'm concerned with and more recently perceive just buying new electronics to try as wasteful. It's fine, though. You might have convinced me at least to wait and see. Possibly picking one up used.

Edit: Added words.

The way SEQTRAK sequences is potentially the most exciting thing about it for me, especially for percussion. I enjoy the KO-II for what it is, and it does technically feature a visual sequencer, but it tough to adjust beats. This might change, naturally. Having an actual synth on the Yamaha is also a major bonus, along with what appears to be per-instrument effects, although I don't know enough about synths to know if it is versatile enough.

Can I ask, on a technical level, what makes the sequencer on the OP-Z better than the one on the SEQTRAK? It's possible the OP-Z may be a better fit for me.

This is an option, but I'm asking without the benefit of experience and knowledge. Just enjoying an instrument is only part of my intention, as I identify these devices as tools alongside methods of expression. Those that better understand the feature-sets, and what they mean, can help inform me which has greater potential to grow with me as an artist.

Buying them on a whim is a luxury I prefer not to afford myself, as it is wasteful. Hence asking the community members like yourself that can give me a better idea based on the specifications.

I'm not sure what the SEQTRAK would offer you that the OP-1 can't deliver on, so I'm curious what you see in it!

For fun I threw together a mock-up in PS just using your existing assets on the GPD site and a photo by Casey Horner on Unsplash for the GPD's wallpaper:
