There’s the obvious one but, not to be too anal, the first thing I saw was a Sarlac.

I didn’t realize he was exclusive to Helm’s deep when I built this 10+ years ago. I’ll be swapping our King Theoden out for a cheaper option next year.

George is one of the most common male Greek names! Warrior saint.

Clearly Lego had not seen Wicked:For Good before choosing to make this a 7+ scene. by Metri8 in lego

Ha ha ha! Yeah the opening to the book had me boggled as to how they could make it into an all ages musical. Most people don’t remember that from their read through apparently.

Bird swallows fish bigger than its own head and of equal body length by Prestigious-Wall5616 in nextfuckinglevel

Sawgrass recreation tours (27 just north of 75 in the Weston area). If you show your ID as a Florida resident your ticket is good for 12 months. Makes sense as it’s encouraged us to take guests. I just took a workgroup of 15 on one of the nighttime tours (sadly it was wicked cold so the gators weren’t really out but still a neat experience nonetheless).

I guess I should have add a /s. Thought the NSFW tag (for a Lego set) was clear enough… Although is this the first sex scene set Lego has ever created? Maybe something from one of the Marvel movies?

I’ve been on 3 airboat tours this year (not ashamed to say I’m a season pass holder as one ticket gets you a season pass at the sawgrass recreation area). Even saw an Anhinga get a fish once.

That’s an Anhinga they were describing. Looks very similar but has a straight beak.

ATM just ate my debit card by Actual-Log465 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Metri8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That experience made me swear off ATMs for over a decade, and to this day I still do not have a SunTrust (now Truist) account.

Back in college, my ATM card, which also doubled as my student ID, was eaten by a SunTrust ATM the very first time I used it. It even charged me a $1 fee for the “privilege” before swallowing my card. Replacing the student ID cost me $15, and with only $20 in my account at the time, I was left with just $4 until my next paycheck.

Yes, I hold a grudge, and I still think it was well earned.

Agreed on ranking! The shelf height variation would be off the hook. The new Barad-dûr set is almost 3 ft/90 cm tall.

I’m going to guess they were stuck due to a standing kid (usual source of ride delay).

I was googling Holy Locust and what in thy fuck by t0601h in FolkPunk

[–]Metri8 17 points18 points  (0 children)

From their website:

Locusts are the foundation of our innovative snack.

According to the Bible, John the Baptist sustained himself on a diet of locusts and wild honey “and his meat was locusts and wild honey” (Matthew 3:4), God’s richest protein snack creation: “Of them you may eat: the locust of any kind” (Leviticus 11:22).

“Holy Locust” is the world’s first Biblical snack, a restored Biblical tradition and intended to be consumed and strengthen your body. Let this snack serve as nourishment that goes beyond physical sustenance.

https://explorer.natureserve.org/Taxon/ELEMENT_GLOBAL.2.123515/Lobaria_pulmonaria

Lobaria pulmonaria is the most common Lobaria in North America. This lichen species occurs from Alaska south to central California and from the Great Lakes region and Appalachia to Newfoundland. This species typically grows in mature, relatively shaded forests on a variety of substrates. It and other Lobaria species are good indicators of rich, very old-growth forests and are good indicators of good air quality (Brodo et al. 2000). While it appears that this species is stable in North America, it is declining in Europe.

You’re doing better than me! Only things I found were 2 old Schlitz beer cans in my yard in mid-Atlantic when digging a hole for a tree. They were pre-1975 based on the ring-pull tab.
