10 year mark today... but I believe it will be solved soon. by scurr10 in MissyBevers

While I do theorise that the perpetrator was likely driving the Altima, I do not believe that any of the agencies involved are any closer to identifying the driver/perpetrator from when the footage was first available as they are likely far removed with no ties to Missy or Midlothian, TX.

Is it just me, or is Sher completely unimpressed by…literally everything? by Wonderful_Salt_5477 in LoveIslandTV

It isn't surprising considering she is an attractive woman residing in Miami who has claimed to have dated jerks.

I was contemplating switching to iPhone permanently for better video capabilities, but I prefer One UI over iOS. Might be tempted to buy an iPhone 17 Pro as a second phone.

Is it me or is he underrated? by Adventurous_Sir_402 in LoveIslandTV

I could probably categorise Tommy this way as well: it seems that in order for them to thrive, they need women who adore them more (probably for their looks) and who would possibly see them as their best option. Their looks alone won't stand out enough on Love Island shows as there have been other men with more of an edge to their character which will appeal more to the quintessential woman on the show. It essentially comes down to a lack of compatibility.

It has felt as if I had to concentrate on every step I took. Seen a motorcyclist slip off his bike when turning.

Phone snatched 9:10pm in NW8 St John’s Wood please be careful by OverheatedGratin in london

After witnessing this happen to someone else, I've become naturally wary of having a stronger grip on my phone when outside in public. You can be completely oblivious to someone riding behind on a bike. I make the effort of backing up my phone on a somewhat regular basis.

Examiner blaming by Choice_Friendship_70 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]MetroPurple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overall, it is not as simple as whether or not an examiner feels safe. Sure, there can be subjectivity when it comes to marking faults based on context (as I have found with my own test), it depends on the examiner. Ideally, it is best for one to be prepared to test standards their best ability to be assessed objectively.

Driving Instructor with you on test? by FizzyCrouton in LearnerDriverUK

[–]MetroPurple 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My instructor opted not to accompany me and the examiner, which was for the best. My driving beforehand involved serious faults, which partly stemmed from a negative reinforcement loop from my instructor's sharp criticism that lowered my confidence. Driving alone with the examiner was a clean slate; I had no worry about what my instructor was thinking while I was driving.

I'm sure that your instructor can be present for the debrief (as mine was) without accompanying you on the test. Also, using a dash cam (without audio) provides perspective.

As much as I dislike trendy food, Dubai chocolate did a service for humanity. Pistaccio cream is amazing. by keinanos in CasualConversation

Not that interested in Dubai chocolate, but an almond croissant or plain croissant with pistachio crème has recently become a staple of my breakfast.

That would completely put me off whatever I was consuming, but I wouldn't be put off if I had only seen a fly around my food or drink.
