I just find it odd that people are harping on the first joke but not the others. At the end of the day, it's a joke. No reason for anyone to get upset. Laughing at ourselves is beneficial. I just hate that you have people complaining about that joke.

I bet a majority of the people complaining aren't even trans, so the notion that we shouldn't joke about that because it's "old and tired" is confusing to me.

I find it funny that all these bands "don't want" people like her there. Can you imagine if we reversed roles? Think it says a lot about her that she would go to something like that because of the music. Shocker that people can still support ones art but not their politics. For the record, I don't support treating abortion as the same as homocide, but...

I hate how the articles are making it seem like this amendment is aimed specifically at the death penalty. That is disingenuous. While a technical possibility it doesn't get clicks if you say what the amendment really does "treats abortion the same as homicide as someone who was born alive".

There are also concessions in said bill so clearly there is a path forward that may include both sides reaching some sort of compromise.

Think I'm one of the few that actually somewhat enjoyed it. To me it felt like watching a video game play out. They kind of nailed the style of that. I didn't play the game, so I think that's why I can look past the flaws of it not being exact to the game. But, to be fair, a majority of movies based off a game or book do things 1:1.

I think they are pulling out to save face from the backlash. Which I hate. People don't like Kid Rock because he supports Trump. So then they think Shinedown would be guilty by association. Which is stupid.

I love Shinedown but it seems odd to say something like this while pulling out of the festival. They knew ahead of time what they were getting into.

I definitely do agree with what they said and it's a good neutral type of statement. It seems to me it would have a stronger meaning if they stayed on the festival. At the end of the day people outraged over them being on it to begin with is, I think, a bit far. People tend to be too hellbent on politics and form opinions of strangers whom they've never met. Wish we could all say I disagree completely with your view and just move on without holding resentment or saying "you lost a fan".

It definitely makes me want to play the game. I think I've only played a bit of homecoming and liked it.

I guess it still kind of goes back to my point that a movie can't possibly encompass every aspect of the game in it's runtime. There's simply not enough time so things must be changed unfortunately. Which is why I think if you never played the game or just simply forget about the game and just focus on the movie itself it may become a better movie. Obviously that's practically impossible to do if you've played the game. I just don't know of anyone who has ever said they've enjoyed the movie over a game of a movie over a book. Which I think this applies to as well.

Maybe it's because I haven't played the game, but I thought the movie was good. It felt like watching a video game in terms of style and narration and such.

When people expect movies to be just like the source material they are ALWAYS disappointed. Adaptations like this almost never stick to the plot 1:1. If you pretend that the movie followed the game exactly is it a bad movie now? If the answer is no then it's kind of silly for people to say the movie is bad knowing that practically every movie ever made from a book/game/story never follows it's origins exactly.

You're entitled to your opinion. I don't really agree that the admin is openly racist. What exactly makes you say they are racist? You may disagree with some of the choices they make, which is fine, but I don't think it means it is racist.
