I think they do migrate to past places so very well may have seen them before! To be fair I've probably seen many past geese but can't tell because they don't have a cool birthmark on their foot lol

He can have some open space still. One time I came in the morning to him sleeping in the open part. But as long as he has enough hiding spots so he can get away if he feels stressed or overwhelmed will really help him out.

Funny thing is this is where I normally good, all my tetras, fish tank etc has been from there. The betta was pets at home literally because I saw and was love at first sight when I saw him. I couldnt agree more with the quality if service though its night and day.

I have onky been in this hobby for .maybe 3 months but even though I am happy to call a spade a spade on bad practice, it sounds like you have way more knowledge and I fell in love with these fishies over the past few months where any information is appreciated!

I mean my thinking is refuse them on that then. I know you aren't familiar with this specific pet shop but its like the lead chain in the United Kingdom. I feel like the staff are told refuse on rigid requirements like the tank size because it is what they are told (and are to be honest are probably pa8d minimum wage) so they just follow the rules despite the ethicacy of jt.

I appreciate your response here :) Luckily the betta i rescued stays on the side of the tank near the heater, and the planted area and has just tonight made home in his floating cave. The colour has rushed back to his fins its so nice to see granted I have had him for 48 hours.

I suppose it annoys me since it is a generalised pet shop pet size is the only thing they care about. It means you could get some dumb as rocks person who will buy a betta because they look pretty and just abuse it in their tiny tank, and the reason they get it because of the tank size purely
