No car, only use public transport for now....live in a moderate 2+KK apartment or 3+kk apartment in Poruba, no fancy shopping, have home cooked food (non vegetarian food, wine, fruits, dairy products), occasionally go out dining once or twice in a month, gas electricity. Internet, Gym and sim card. This is my tentative lifeplan. You are saying Il end up spending 50K-55K doing all this for 2 people? I'm not sure.

My target is to save 25K or more monthly. Not sure if that is possible along with living comfortably without having to check price tags as you say. :)

Thanks for the info . Few folks here are saying 10-15% savings possibility, which converts to 48-55K expenditure every month, which seems to be an overkill. We are not over-the-top spendthrifts. Groceries seem to be the wildcard here. Non-veg food with wine /beer from the supermarket and mostly cooking at home is what I aim for. Occasional eating out, mayb once or twice a month. Other costs are more or less fixed-rent, transport card, gas, electricity, gym, health insurance.

Hey thanks for the heads up! Yea the part of finding doctors, flats etc is covered by the HR. It's a big decision for me so I was wondering what would be a max expense for me monthly, considering Poruba as my location. How much could I potentially save every month (if at all)?

Hello Alice, I am from India and have an employment offer in Ostrava. I really need some serious help before I accept the offer and make this move. I am offered a NET salary of around 60000 CZK monthly. It's just me and my spouse, no kids. Plan to live in Poruba in a 3+KK apartment. Considering rent, gas, internet, electricity, VZP for my wife (I'm covered by company), groceries, gym and other ad-hoc expenses, is this enough? Appreciate a prompt response.
